The cats were almost overly friendly to me when I came home tonight, then they went down the basement and I heard a heck of a fight going on.   I yelled and told them they'd have to go to their rooms if they didn't stop. I don't know why that works but it does.  Anyway, they were all sort of cowering in the room with the glass doors.  My guess is a raccoon was outside the door again.   They get all sorts of transferred aggression when that happens and I have to nip it in the bud so no one gets hurt.   When they realize it's just them  they are nice again.  Cats

I am getting sleepy and want to read a chapter or two of a book I'm enjoying.  It's called The Dirt farmer's Son.  Or something like that.  It's a memoir of a guy who grew up here in the area I live in back in the 30s and 40s.  It's very interesting from a historical perspective.  He could have used a good editor, but despite having to wade through it, I like it

LOL!!!  Ricky is my cat who knocks things over.  He is mesmerized by pens.  As in ink pens.  He loves to knock them on the floor.
