I will have to check out Iain's latest when I can watch a video. I've liked the others I've seen.

The Washington Post did a nice profile of him a few months back.

Good morning.

We have way too much cold cereal in the house. My DH does the shopping and buys it on sale.

For a quick change up:

Rub your $ between the palms of your hands before you leave the house and say:

Money, money, come to me.
Return to me in two's and three's.

I use it on my $20 bills.

From DR Cilla:

I love Christmas.  It can be fun while avoiding the religious aspects of it.  As far as I'm concerned I'm just celebrating the birthday of a good Jew.

As long as my DVR doesn't crap out on me.  Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going to go home at lunch time and set my other DVR, just in case.  I also recorded the "Making of" special from last week.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  I was up and out before 9am (early for me) to meet my friend Becky at Starbucks for a nice long visit.  Got home just in time to have lunch with Richard.  I've now packed away the Thanksgiving decorations and put up the first 2 for Christmas.  Not really in the mood, but it has to be done.

I will miss the first hour or so of PETER PAN, because my book group is meeting tonight.  I'll pick up with it when I get home and look forward to the rebroadcast.  I know they showed SOUND OF MUSIC about a week after the live broadcast last year.

Monday was a strained day as it was the first day back to work after having the complete Thanksgiving week off.

I was faced with the knowledge I would be out of the office Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday when I suddenly realized I had a monthly report to get done in time for a meeting tomorrow (Friday) morning.   Worked hard on it all day and finished it Tuesday morning.

Tuesday afternoon was the beginning of prep for my very first colonoscopy!

Yes, after 16 years of "maybe some other time", I finally took the plunge and scheduled a colonoscopy.  The Gavilyte crap is putrid.   Make no mistake, it's nausea-inducing.

My appointment was yesterday afternoon.   All went well.  I was "awake" for most of it and watched with fascination that which I had thought I'd view with horror.

However, the sedation (two different drugs to accomplish both relaxation and drowsiness) rendered moot any qualms I may have had about watching the monitor.  My colon was nearly pristine.  "Nearly" being the operative word.

There were three polyps that were snipped, and I won't know the diagnosis of those for a couple of weeks.  But...it didn't take as long as it took me to down my first three glasses of Gavilyte.

Back at work today...still just "a bit" sedated...mostly chill and relaxed.

I had made a New Year's Resolution to have a colonoscopy this year.   DONE!
