Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepless, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepless cows come home.

So glad the cats are able to stop when Cilla gets firm with them rather than get more excited.

FJL  I was thinking more along the lines of someone acting Puckish  and blaming it on feeling peckish

Good morning, all.

Not enough sleep here, either.  And I thought last night's sleep ketchup was a shoo-in.  It wasn't even a shoe-in.  But the day is all mine, and I should be able to get a nice nap at some point.  For now...

Coffee!

I got my iPad last night and it's a fine thing.  Got a few things set up (the people at the store gave me a few pointers, since this is my first foray into the world of Apple), and later began figuring out a few more things on my own.  But I think I'll go over and take one of their morning classes for beginners and hopefully pick up some more pointers.  I downloaded the music-reading app "forScore", a godsend for reading PDF scores.

I wish I'd been able to read BK's words about LOS ANGELES PLAYS ITSELF before I made the purchase and spent the hours watching it a few weeks ago.  I'd never seen it, but its legend precedes it (oh, how it precedes it; just ask me how it precedes it and I will tell you how it precedes it), and I had been led to believe it was not to be missed.  Now, as I think about it, I realize that none of those who led me to believe such a thing had ever lived in L.A.

For a while I enjoyed the clips and was amused at a few of the connections he was making...though I'd be hard put to tell you now what any of them were.  But it started to get old, and the guy clearly wasn't approaching the subject from a viewpoint that made much sense to me.  At the halfway point I took a break and looked forward to at least seeing some as yet unexplored clips in the second part.  But whoo boy, does it then proceed to jump the shark.  What a sad waste of opportunity, and what a sad misrepresentation on so many people's part in how this thing has been hyped over the years.

TOD:

I know longer know what we should have in the refrigerator or pantry.

Since I married Sandy almost 14 years ago, that's her department.  The food is always there, as if by magic.

I wasn't going to post the MURDER IN BABYLON trailer for a few days, but since somebody else has done it on FB, I might as well make it official.

Incidentally, I chose "Running Wild" as the background music because it certainly is indicative of the time and place.

Good Morning.  It's raining.  How nice is that (except when I have to explain to Sugar that we will not be going on our walk this morning).

Good morning, all.

Sorry for having been E&T. Until the competition is over Saturday, I doubt I shall much time on my hands. My friend Carol is visiting from upstate New York while she's attending a conference. And I somehow have to find time to make a batch of Christmas cookies. Maybe I'll forgo sleep altogether.

Good morning, all! Another crazy day on the Upper West Side in which very little goes right so far. this modem is working my last nerve with its you're connected to the internet-now you're not-you're connected-now you're not; I've got to run to City Center and I have all that to prepare before I go; those three pennies are taking their time and I need them to work a little harder.

DR JRand64, Iain is a hoot! Check out all his reviews on youtube.
