Oh, believe me, she took my name and asked for my manager. Who wasn't there.

DR Singdaw, when I worked in the public library's telephone reference center I was amazed at the abusiveness of some callers.  The only time I remember hanging up was on an obscene call.  When the guy called back I connected him with my (male) supervisor.

Media report - while I knit I'm listening to BK's MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF PETER PAN.

Well, this is interesting (in a good way, I think).  THIS audio-only video is the complete "On the Steps of the Palace" from the soundtrack to the Into the Woods movie.  I really enjoy it.  And THIS two-minute interview video shows one minute of the song from the finished movie (jump to 58 seconds).  What I realized as I was just listening to the second clip is that they added breathing sounds to Cinderella's singing.  Watching her breathe and also hearing her breaths isn't something that I really thought about while listening to the first video.  It adds a layer realism to the video clip that I liked.

Next Friday night, the cast of the movie, INTO THE WOODS, will be on ABC's 20/20

What did your manager say when you related the incident?

Thanks for sharing!  I don't usually watch 20/20, but I will watch this.

And now, I'm off to the theater.  Hopefully, we'll have a larger crowd than last night. ::)

;)

Until later!

They are working Into the Woods much too hard.  The reason Chicago was a hit is because they did absolutely the right thing in its promotion - nothing.  They let people discover it.  NBC just made the same error with Peter Pan.

DR Laura I see that Peter Pan is up on nbc.com.

Thanks. I have no idea when I'll have time to watch it, but it's good to know it's there.

John, do you want a DVD to watch at your leisure?

Yes, please. In case I ever have leisure time again.

Had my last rehearsal with my partners before tomorrow's competition. I need to be there by 7:30 a.m. with the first dance at 8 a.m. sharp. We dance off and on until 6:30 p.m.

Then on Sunday we have a book signing, followed by a cookie exchange with a Christmas party in the evening.

I haven't had time to concentrate on the important things in life lately, like Peter Pan and racial injustice. I think those are in order of importance. At least with the Facebook postings I've been reading.

So, we just finished watching PETER PAN LIVE.

It was okay...not great.

Certainly the complexity of the production was impressive.

Allison Williams and Christopher Walken were certainly good, but I prefer Mary Martin and Cyril Richard in the roles.

I keep seeing the trailers for INTO THE WOODS, and they make me not want to see it.

If I didn't already know it was a musical, I wouldn't know that from the trailers.

Interesting that nobody is talking about the film for any awards.

Got some soup and a little bit of seafood salad for my snack - and melon balls, always melon balls.  Always Melon Balls - that's the title of my next novel.

Here.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XQgQKwHus8&feature=youtu.be

I loved that production that starred Sandy Duncan!!!! It was the first show I'd seen multiple times, and saw it again when she took it on the road.  Of course, prices were a lot more reasonable then.
I saw it in 1979 with my sister and brother in law.  It was the second time I'd ever been to New York.  I loved it!
