Thanks for the vibes, DRs JRand and FJL.  I'm not looking forward to the next several days...

Back from a wonderfully wonderful dinner with Kay and Michael - had the excellent rigatoni bolognese at the Eclectic Cafe.  I will say that the portions there get smaller and smaller with every visit.  I doubt there was four ounces of pasta.

Been a busy weekend.  First the Little Dog Auction and today a party with a lot of artist friends where we made cards and some made gingerbread houses.  It was lots of fun. I skipped the spiked punch.  I planned to work this afternoon, then I realized my first appointment tomorrow is at 11:00 AM, so I'm going to get up and get to the office and work all morning.

I'm not at all in the holiday spirit.  I doubt I'll get it anytime soon

Finn went for $15000.00  but they raised about $129,000.00 to buy gifts for kids. Finn was given to the grandson of the guy who bought him

Someone posted that it was "way cool" when the grandson received Finn.  It sounds like he's going to a good home.

Party was good. Lots of fine food, spirits and dancing. The weather was extraordinary. It's still close to 70 degrees outside, so it was pleasant to eat outside and enjoy talking with people. Ran into a lot of folks I knew but that I didn't know were connected with Frank and Cathy.

The holiday baking has begun. Made two tarts tonight and have the butter warming up to start all over again first thing in the morning.

Thanks for the early review of Into the Woods, BK. I saw the second or third preview way back when and the second act was completely different. It was more heartwarming as we realized that the narrator was the baker's son. When I saw it the weekend after it opened, I was surprised at the great laughs and how much less affecting it was. I always wished they went back to the better story.

I'll be curious to see what others think.  I judge all movies the same way - the ones I love most I want to see again right away.  I cannot think of the last film where I felt that except for The Ghost Writer.

It has been many years since I have made two tarts in one evening.  Ah, youth!
