In the new issue of New York, the critic reviewing Into The Woods finds the pileup of catastrophes deliberately mean, advises you to leave at the end of Act One, praises Tunick's orchestrations, and says the score is "A Little Night Music without the tunes." I've sorta felt that way for the past 30 years.

We ordered a new bed for Mom, which Richard and Rob will pick up Wednesday and deliver directly to her new digs.  We did a couple of other errands and have just come from a delightful Olive Garden dinner with the reinforcements.  A great deal was accomplished today and I'm optimistic about tomorrow and the next day.

Tonight at midnight is the deadline for people signing up for health care who want coverage starting Jan 1, so it promises to be a most crazy day.       :P

I'm signed up for a new policy.  More expensive, but if covers what I want to have covered

DR SINGDAW nice red robe.

BUT I have to take off points for your posting of the video.

However I am reminded of the perhaps apocryphal story of Mr Gower Champion spending some time trying to teach Ginger Rogers the dances for when she was going into HELLO, DOLLY.  He was finding the going rough and finally took to the streets for smoke.

Who should he run into except Hermes Pan - choreographer of the Astaire & Rogers films.

Champion:  My God, Hermes, why didn't you tell me?

Pan: My God, Gower, I thought you knew!

I will be glad when tomorrow is over.  I still have a ton of work to do, but I don't have much scheduled, so I'll be able to relax a little.

I've never been a fan of Into the Woods, but it's a favorite of my sister and her family, so I just figured it was me and never said anything

So, A Christmas Carol-The Musical (the Menken/Ahrens version) is down after it's 9th year.  It was a wonderful cast this year both on and off stage.  I enjoyed being onstage as well as keeping the music going (we use tracks) and being my ol' annoying MD self at times.  One more year of this show, and then it's on to bigger and better version of Dickens "A Christmas Carol".

I liked the notes today. I'm excited about "Into the Woods" - although, I'm excited for "Annie", also.  I didn't think I would be, I think I am.

Well, it's time for me to leave.  I'm going to my parents' house.  My mom had me buy a couple of things for her as Christmas gifts for a friend of hers, and since they arrived today, I might as well deliver them.

Be back later.
