Made a teeny-tiny portion of pasta with butter for a snack.

Have made it home safe. Now, if the heater will bring the temperature of this place up to normal ...

Thanks for the vibes, DR Jane!  Richard could use some, too, because he's down this evening with a stomach bug.

Vibes and prayers for DH Richard.

OHHHHHH   I almost forgot to tell you guys......  Former DR and my DN Samantha is officially engaged!! She got a very nice ring and was totally surprised.  Here I thought they were already engaged, but she said not officially. Don really surprised her and she is over the moon happy.   As a couple they are very good together and I couldn't think of anyone who would be a better match for her.   We are all very happy about it.

That's a great bit of news to end a year on. Hope they're very happy together.

A friend of mine just posted that gin and tonic were some of their favorite things.

I always wondered what was in the brown paper packages, tied up with strings.

I guess now I know!

But of course!

The big news from San Antonio while I was gone involved a fire in an adult assisted living facility. There were 5 deaths and 17 hospitalized.

Horrible story.

DR TCB did you check if there is a ramp to get into the dining room on this trip?

Thank you, Jane, I will call and check tomorrow.

I started typing out the lyrics to "You And Me Against The World" until I figured out it was the wrong song.

I'm home!  I've been home for a couple of hours, just waiting for my house to warm up a bit and ketchuping on e-mails.  Now, I need to ketchup on all the posts.

My cousin's cable (and wi-fi) had troubles starting yesterday morning and was still out all this morning, so I couldn't post or check anything all day yesterday or today, but now that I'm home, I'm finally connected again!

As we close out 2014 I would have to say that it has not been the best year for me.

Here's hoping 2015 will so much better.

HA!  I mentioned The Grand Budapest Hotel yesterday and here it is in the notes.  It had its debut on HBO on Saturday night which is where I saw it.

As I wrote yesterday, it certainly recommend it.....for all the reasons MR BK wrote about....and I see that DR DRUXY enjoyed it as well.  It is difficult to explain why.  Of course Mr Ralph Fienes is one of my favorite actors (except in NELL) - so it was great to see him in this ... wacky role.....

A moment from the film (bad language warning):

I really enjoyed this movie!
