I think DR MIKE is telling us the story of the Poseidon Adventure as deduced by DR ELMORE.

His story had everything but the bloodhounds biting his ass on the ice flows.

Tonight, the family was supposed to go to Budd Bay Café for our traditional annual new year's eve dinner, but my niece isn't feeling well, so we're all just going to meet at my sister's and have pizza!  Sounds good to me. :D We'll also play games and listen to music.  I'm sure that I'll be home long before midnight.

Well, I made an executive decision after hearing from my nephew.  The art kit and doodle book weren't that expensive and were on sale on Amazon so I bought a slightly different art kit and a different doodle book and sent them to my nephew's house.  Then Gabe will at least get one and maybe two - one at each parent's house.  I think that's the best resolution and now I can forget about it.   His mom is traveling, so that's why I haven't heard from her today

Did he mention climbing up the Christmas tree to get to the deck above the ball room?

Well, I did it...I bought a Samsung Galaxy S tablet!  No more having to deal with a tablet battery that only lasts about 45 minutes and no more having to deal with a browser that takes practically minutes to load a page.  It cost MUCH more than I planned to spend, but it's going to last me a very, very long time!  At least, it had BETTER last me a very, very long time. ;D

I think that is the perfect resolution to the problem, and far less complicated than continuing to track it down.

From DR John:

And I stand by that. Doctor it with your own ingredients, like jalapenos or fresh corn or pimento. Or sausage

Maybe the fresh corn which I considered adding to my recipe but didn't.  I had purchased a couple of Jiffy mixes, just in case this new recipe was bad.  The mix calls for mix and I was going to substitute buttermilk vs using non fat milk that we keep in the house.

The recipe I used is incredibly easy.

Amazing, as soon as I sent a new art set and book to my nephew's address I got a text from Gabe's mom that the package was on their front steps when they got home. She thinks the post office is fibbing.  They may be, as the mail carrier said something about a different address that isn't on the package.   I don't know who to believe, but it doesn't matter.  He has the package and will have another at his dad's when he gets there. All the better. He won't have to take one back and forth

LOL......I was able to cancel the amazon order.  All is right with the world and the case of the missing art set and doodle book has come to a successful close

Best of all, his mother didn't pretend the gift was from her.

Well, as long as you didn't actually accuse her to her face, I think you're okay.

No I didn't accuse her or tell her I thought that she wasn't telling the truth.  I told her what the post office said and to check and see. I told her about the second order and that it was cancelled and said I was just glad the box arrived.  I forgot I stuck some locally roasted coffee in the box for her, so there was a treat for her too

We are back from seeing WILD, which we enjoyed.  The book is much richer, of course, but the film does it justice.  Now I'm warming last night's tuna casserole for dinner.  Rob has gone to work and Mary Linda's eating pizza and watching NCIS reruns with us.  Another wild and crazy New Year's Eve on Poinciana Road!

I thought something bad about some relatives this past weekend that may or may not have been true...
