No I didn't accuse her or tell her I thought that she wasn't telling the truth.  I told her what the post office said and to check and see. I told her about the second order and that it was cancelled and said I was just glad the box arrived.  I forgot I stuck some locally roasted coffee in the box for her, so there was a treat for her too

After all that happened it makes the gift for her extra special and a really good thing you did that ;)

LOL......I was able to cancel the amazon order.  All is right with the world and the case of the missing art set and doodle book has come to a successful close

:)

Best of all, his mother didn't pretend the gift was from her.

Yeah, I feel bad about thinking that.

I thought something bad about some relatives this past weekend that may or may not have been true...

I think it's quite normal from time to time

Yes it is.

DR JANE asked for some vibes for CRAIG's upcoming year....so here they are from me.

Thank you.  He would probably be embarrassed as he is happy at work and enjoys his pets, but he really needs his own classroom and a full time teaching job plus I need the nice girlfriend :)

For me:

1. Winning another acting award and doing another play at DePauw

2. Learning to live within my budget since the closing of my sister's bookstore

3. Zip

Vibes #3 improves next year!!!

Unless I can't sleep tonight and read my current book by midnight, which I hope doesn't happen, I have my number count for the year.

In 2013 I challenged myself to read 150 books and read 155 books.
In 2014 I challenged myself to read fewer books, only 140, and sleep more.  I have read 146 books.  I kind of succeeded.

I mentioned to Keith I felt as if I read longer books this year and wondered if I really had read all that much less than last year.  Immediately Goodreads sent me a link for "stats" I had no idea existed.

The results are:
2013 56,288 pages
2014 55,646 pages

While I read 9 more books last year I have only read 642 fewer pages this year.

Other than my gaffe to end off the year.

I did receive the the cd recording of Herringbone in today's mail.

I guess he sent me a hard copy instead of a digital download to compensate for the long delay, but I didn't get the autographed program which doesn't bother me.

Was the CD at least autographed?  Mine was, and that was all that I was expecting.

Well, it's time for me to leave work for the last time this year!  I'm off to my sister's for some new year's eve pizza!  I plan to be home well before midnight (left coast time), so I'll be back!

Happy New Year's to the east coasters, since I won't be back by then!

In the Poseidon novel there are more survivors and they appear to have made it out more easily than the group in the film. ;)

Yes it was. Now I would like Skip Kennon and Ellen Fitzhugh to sign it as well. :-)

And the young boy doesn't in the novel.

Let the festivities begin.  I have removed last year's bottle of champagne and this year's bottle is waiting to have its cork popped.  I've been waiting to have MY cork popped for all of 2014.  So, out with the old, in with the new - it's a New Year's Eve tradition.  I open a bottle of champagne, have one sip at midnight and then keep the bottle in the refrigerator for the entire year.

Even though i didn't finish my current book I marked it as done. I like to start a new book on january 1st for my totals.  So i will have to hurry to finish said book tomorrow.
