I have one thing new to report here: I did have one amusing happening yesterday: one of the leads in GENTLEMEN BE SEATED at NYC Opera - in a cast including Dick Shawn, Avon Long, Carol Brice, and Alice Ghostley - is still alive and I contacted hm about his memories on the show. He's now in his early 80s and I enjoyed talking to him, but he hated the piece, thought that City Opera should have not done it, and disliked the politics. It was clear from several comments that he was a Reagan supporter, and I guess Moross' liberal stance was offensive to him.
Since i think the score is fantastic, I listened and said nothing to contradict him.
