Also, here in the desert where we run the AC, we replace our filters monthly. At least we are supposed to. So if you run your AC or heat very much, you should replace it much more often than every three months.

Hello! Turns out mom was a bit confused yesterday. DN is still in the hospital and may be getting out today. Here hemoglobin count is still pretty low so her fiancé (who was up doing a lot of research last night) is going to ask the doctor a lot of questions about whether she should be going home and is consulting another doctor about whether they are doing the right thing. It's comforting to me to hear he is so proactive about her medical care.

She wants my mom's chicken and dumplings when she gets home. She's been up walking and she was able to have a visit from her kids last night.

I've never been a fan of the chicken and dumplings, but I love the chicken and noodles, not soup just chicken and noodles...think I'll go to the store and get a chicken to make some. Or maybe just bake a chicken, haven't done that in a long time

I'm up, I'm up. Awoke at ten-thirty after about nine and a half hours of glorious sleep - didn't wake up once during the night - then stayed in bed thinking about book stuff and am now up and about to futz and fix yesterday's stuff. elmore beat me to the punch about the Talkin' Broadway review - very nice indeed, and I especially likes that he prints specific lyrics he likes.

Glad to hear that BK's heater fix was almost as easy as TCB's laptop fix. I often write down the date when I replace something like that, or you can assign certain dates for replacement. I found that the replacement filters for my vacuum cleaner are available on Amazon, and suspect many other filters are as well. Most convenient.

It has indeed been very cold here--high 30s at night. I don't like using the heat much, but have had to keep it on at night or I'm cold and can't sleep. I recently bought two new throws, intended for the sofa, and those have come in quite handy, both when I'm watching a movie and when I', sleeping.

The Talkin' Broadway review was indeed a nice review, not just full of praise but a thoughtful review. It's clear that the author is familiar with much of Bruce's work and thinks about what he listens to.

Today I started getting that panicky feeling I get when I haven't been at the office for a couple days. Thinking about what I need to do and how much time I'll have when I get back blah blah blah. So I went to the office. Picked up the mail, checked the messages and looked at the calendar. Then I realized I still have things under control. So I came home. I'm glad I went as it eased my mind
