Back from lunch at this place:

http://www.wharfrestaurant.com/index.html

Since I'm a vegetarian they fixed a delicious pasta primavera (that wasn't on the menu).

Kevin, very nice of them to do the pasta primavera. Ecco used to do one that was to die for, back in its heyday. Such a shame how Ecco declined after it was sold. I used to eat there frequently, despite the usual hour-long wait. I still miss their food. I wonder if the Wharf uses Ecco's recipe? (The two restaurants are right around the corner from one another.)

DR Jeanne--I used to go with a coworker for a delicious veggie pizza in Old Town.  I think it was the Ecco Café.

DR John, you really are devoted to swimming.  That does not sound like fun to me.

Hadn't been since June. And my friend Carol was staying in the pool for an hour, so I sort of had to.

How many secret vegetarians do we have on this here site?

Secret? We're not keeping it secret. It's just that the only vegetarian that people remember is Jane.

Kevin, former DR Jeffrey Kaufmann, George's sister and niece, myself. Did I miss anyone?

I had either forgotten DR Kevin is a vegetarian or I didn't know it.

Technically DR George's niece is vegan ;)  I wish I could take the extra step and do the same.  Lately I haven't been the best vegetarian.  It seems the tofu options at restaurants have been fewer.

Well, my sister and niece are no longer exclusively vegan.  They have been eating free-range, cage-free eggs, and my sister has been eating some real (meaning dairy) cheese.

I'm surprised.  When Craig was living here I went from range free eggs to range free, no kill chickens.  He really enjoyed those eggs.   Every once in awhile he buys eggs to cook with and when he is traveling he is a vegetarian vs vegan.

Since buying the fresh eggs down the road I can hardly tolerate restaurant eggs, even the range free ones.  They just don't taste very good to me.

As for vegan cheese, I think it is horrid.

In the middle of a movie and taking a break - may write a page or two then go back to it.  Had my half-dose of Wacky Noodles, a vegetarian dish.

It is easy to eat a proper vegetarian diet at home but often difficult when we eat out.  It is a little bit frustrating to live in a town with a large population of vegetarians and not be able to have more options at the restaurants to substitute tofu.

I would not call something made with cream of mushroom soup healthy-tasty maybe but not healthy.  Years ago I stopped keeping the soup in the house.

I've only watched the first hour but it seems like they jumped the shark in just about every plot line. :P

Back to the movie - have done about nine pages so far and will finish a chapter after the movie and begin a new one.  I'll also take a nice hot shower for some of that old time inspiration.

Just popping in before I hit the sack.  It has been a very long day--I had a lot of running around to do today.

I tried to post the other night and but Road Runner was doing any thing but running.  It kept losing my posts.  That and we were down in the 30's the past couple of days!  I couldn't wait to go to bed just to be warm so I went early.

I am on Day 4 of the flu. I made good progress with it at first, but now seem to have relapsed, due to a poor night's sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I'm dying for a shower.

Feel better vibes your way, DR Jeanne!

I'm afraid it's no secret that I'm a confirmed meat eater--to my shame.  I wish I could get along without it.
