Last night at the theatre I saw Blithe Spirit with Angela Lansbury. It was really great. She was amazing (89 years old!!) and the play itself was really great also. I'd seen it before, but I don't remember it being this funny. If it comes to you town, take a chance a see it.

Thank you. Keith told me if I didn't find it he never wanted me to mention it. I know he was not happy. I once almost lost it and am now obsessive about where I put my ring which made it hard to believe it wasn't where it belongs when I'm not wearing it.

Cilla, I found your teller experiences interesting. Although I chat with lots of people I don't really know, I don't think it would have ever occurred to me to try to discuss anything at any length with a bank teller. Aren't there other customers waiting?

When I lived in Alexandria, VA I banked at Burke & Herbert Bank in Old Town. (DR Kevin will probably know it.) Oldest bank in Virginia, founded in 1852. Had never been bought out, still privately owned. The president used to have a parrot who sat on his shoulder--yes, in his office. I'd always run into people I knew there. Plus, one of the VPs was a very friendly guy and we'd always say hello. I admit it was fun going to that bank.

One day I went into the bank to get cash for a trip to NY--$100, I think. I happened to mention to the teller that I was going to NY. He immediately replied, "Oh, you'll need more than that!" But my hotel and train had been paid in advance by credit card and I use credit cards for most things anyway. I really only needed cash for cabs. I found it amusing that he thought I was taking only $100 for all my expenses.

I enjoyed it, too. Back in the 1990s I was a Robson Green fan. He was quite the heartthrob then. My, how he's aged. I guess we all have. He has a nice singing voice and he and Jerome Flynn had several hit CDs under the name of Robson and Jerome.

I am disappointed Netflix only has the first two season of Death in Paradise. I hope it won't be too long before they get season 3. My brother said season 4 has returned but I don't see the point in skipping a season.

They'll probably get it soon. Sometimes they're a bit slow, but they do obtain most shows.

Thank you. It was a great sense of relief. My finger felt very bare while we were out last night. We were invited to someone's house we talk to at the gym and it was the first time meeting his wife. I had a nice time but I had to not think about my ring.

She's a very nice person, too. She came backstage when I was doing LI'L ABNER at Bluth Brothers and was very supportive and complementary. My cousin's husband was an electrician on MURDER SHE WROTE for many years and said the same thing. She was very highly regarded by cast and crew.

Quirky, to be sure, but I really appreciated the fact that if there was ever a problem I could talk to one of the VPs--RIGHT NOW--and we'd get things straightened out. Completely different from the usual bank where no one seems to be in charge. I've had one or two real horror stories with banks, which had a lot to do with the fact that the senior managers were in another city and quite inaccessible.
