Dozed off and woke up in Georgia

I hope you weren't the one driving!

I see someone already beat me to it. :-)

I always like to say my mother had a Jewish birth when she had me.

They knocked her out and woke her up when the hairdresser arrived.

LOL   That wasn't my experience giving birth.  Actually my mother was awake for me too but apparently I was an easy delivery.

I looked at the nasal spray Keith gave me when I was sick.  It is the same as Afrin & Zicam.  Be careful using it.

We planned to eat at a place called candy sue which was rated as #2 of 76 restaurants in lumberton ( #1 was a seafood place) the reviews raved about the food and I was looking forward to the blueberry BBQ ribs but the reviews failed to mention the 15 kids spooking pot in the parking lot or the quantity of broken auto glass in the parking lot so we two decided caution was the greater part of valor and chose the well lit Cracker Barrel down the road from our hotel

Chas we used to be Denny fans but our last few experiences all in very different locales were more than disappointing so we have sworn off them

Back from "Nice Work If You Can Get It" at the Warner Theatre in DC.   I had no intention of seeing it but I got an email yesterday from Goldstar.com offering "comp" tickets (well, I had to pay about $12 in fees).  I had seen the show on Broadway with Kelli O'Hara, Matthew Broderick and Judy Kaye.  I remember not being too impressed, especially by Matthew Broderick, but of course enjoyed the Gershwin score (and the two ladies).   The show hasn't gotten better, but the actors were all fine and it was well worth $12!

The company I work for was going to open their season with this (we would have been the first... SOOOO done with being "the first) Anyway, we got the rights to Chicago so thank goodness Nice Work went away.  I had already turned it down - blech.

It rained earlier today and then started snowing about 3:30 or so.  I did go to Rocking Pollock, but only for about an hour.  When I came home the streets were ok, but bordering on slippery.  I was glad I left when I did.  We're supposed to get 6-8 inches of snow before it's over and the winds are supposed to be up to 45 mph tonight.

I stopped at the office and picked up a bunch of work in case I want to do some tomorrow.  I do need to write a brief.  It really has to get done because I don't have any time during the day between now and when it's due.  So, I'll do that tomorrow

I also brought home a lot of little things that would be nice to have done before the week starts.

I looked out a little while ago and there were 4 deer in my yard. They finished off the food in the bird feeder that the squirrels didn't eat.   I TRY to feed the birds.   Today I had a murder of crows in the yard today right before the snow started.
