Callie has developed an addiction to treats.   She never paid much attention to them in the past.  Now she thinks walking from one room to the next is a reason to celebrate with treats, as well as staying in the same room, lol.  She doesn't get them all the time, but it's hard to refuse

We got a thick coating of ice over everything this morning, which was then promptly covered up by snow.

Seriously, they are advertising sensible valentine's day meals.  Isn't that a day to splurge?

Speaking of spooky things.  The upstairs tv has turned on by itself twice this week.  I think the first time may have been a result of the power going out and on, but this morning at 4:45 it just came on.  The cats were all in their beds, so unless Ricky turned it on and then ran to his bed, it came on by itself

I heard from JoAnn: property taxes on that Ohio property have gone up $600/year, 1st half due Feb. 27.  To say i want my two brothers dead, and buried some place close so i can piss on their graves is an understatement.

If she sings "Feed the Birds," it might be my chart.  I had to fight like mad for payment.

Well, you may have a ghost or two.  I generally don't mind the ones who wander in and out of here, but the ones in the house where I grew up, as well as the ones in my grandmother's house, were very unsettling.

So, DR George, what is this play?  The title sounded familiar.  Did it ever play New York?

I still have the brass and percussion fixes to make in No. 26 "Hand Me Down That Can O' Beans," and I will finish a couple of parts tonight, the rest tomorrow when I return from my morning out. I have to deliver a book to a friend and then have a luncheon meeting with the Miami U Theatre alumni.

So, DR George, what is this play?  The title sounded familiar.  Did it ever play New York?

It's called "Laughing Stock" by Charles Morey.  It's not listed at www.ibdb.com, nor the Lortel Archives.  I found a short bio of the author at the bottom of this website:

Quote
Charles Morey has been the Artistic Director of the Pioneer Theatre Company, the professional theater in residence at the University of Utah, since 1984. While there, he has directed more than 60 productions. Morey has directed at various institutions including New York’s Ark Theatre Company and Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City, in addition to numerous theaters throughout the country such as the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Meadow Brook Theatre, American Stage, PCPA Theatrefest and Utah Shakespearean Festival. He has written adaptations of five 19th-century classic novels in addition to his two original works, Laughing Stock and Dumas’ Camille.

It's possible, here's what the symphony website says:

Feb 14, 2015

A Broadway Romance
 with Ashley Brown

This Valentine's weekend enjoy the sweet and sultry sounds of Broadway sensation, Ashley Brown.
Brown is known for originating the title role of Mary Poppins on Broadway.

Joining Ashley on stage will be Broadway performer, Geoff Packard.

Music from the Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, a medley from Wicked and of course music from Mary Poppins.

The evening will also highlight American classics like:
I've Got the World on a String
     Smile
     My Funny Valentine
Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week
     If I were a Bell

This evening is the perfect not only for that special date night but it will be just as much fun for the entire family.
Come celebrate music from the American Song book, Broadway, and Disney classics

I didn't want to spend the extra $80 or whatever it was to do the meet and greet and dinner before the show.  So it isn't likely I'll be speaking with her
