Monday morning greetings! I woke up at my usual 7am and, due to DST, it was still dark so I went back to sleep - until almost 9. That's very late for me, but I feel quite refreshed.

Tonight is our pre-booksale AAUW meeting, which is a soup supper. I have chili in the crockpot, 2 others are making soups, and several members are bringing other sides like veggies, fruit, and desserts. We usually have this event at the booksale site, but it's smaller than past venues and our membership has grown, so we're having the soup supper and business meeting at a nearby church. The sale site will be open before and after for members to get the "lay of the land" before Thursday's opening and to do early shopping (a member perk).

Two time zones for the entire country is interesting. Would that be 2 or 3 hours between them? I'm not sure that would work for those living in the time zones that were changed.

I recently sent a letter to the artistic director of the company in which I am the "resident" musical director resigning my title. These young, childish people feel the best way to run a company is hire their friends to work for them, choose new and "edgy" plays/musicals (and get their friends to be cast in them) and brush aside those who have been loyal to them for 20 years.

Just sayin'...
