Woke up way early, tossing and turning from silly dreams, a too-warm room (I didn't set the thermostat to a good enough sleeping temperature), and half of a sleeping back ache. I'll probably have the other half tonight.

I am still trying to digest the story of Sandy having never eaten (never having eaten?) pastrami. What, never? Hardly ever? Will there be a second lesson in how to order and eat same?

My thoughts shouldn't be turning to pastrami at this time of day. But they are.

Well, I'm sure you've heard the rumors by now. And they're true. Starting late this morning I shall once again be slaving over a hot stove preparing another St. Patrick's Day feast for self and friends. Just the usual, and plenty of it. A lot of plenty. Because I not only love a fresh feast. I love leftovers.
