Bruce, it sounds like the pain in your calf that you wake up with is a muscle spasm. I get them in bed sometimes when I'm just stretching in the morning (while on my back) and pointing my toes downward too hard. I used to just massage the muscle and wait for it to pass, but then my sister told me to flex my feet - you know, point your toes upward as much as you can. I tried that the next time, and darn, it worked like a charm! The pain went away instantly. I can't wait for you to get another excruciating pain in your calf so you can try it!!  :D

The EQUINOX is here on March 20th 2015 and a powerful portal is opening up with a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE and New Moon in Pisces on the same day! Like our ancestors before us, we are being called to pause with reverence and tune in to the greater cosmic cycles that we are a part of.

TOD:

I don't know if I'll get to listen to anything but the new Anne Tyler novel, A Spool of Blue Thread, on my ride to and from Austin this weekend. Plus, I'm going to the symphony on Sunday to hear Petroushka.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.  My piano innards aren't coming today and probably won't until Tuesday, which is very annoying - we had rehearsals scheduled on Monday for ALS that now have to be rescheduled unless they're held elsewhere.

And I had a call from the publisher telling me my usual guy wasn't working on this book - I lit into this guy like nobody's business - one of those people from the Philippines - and told him that before my main guy even called me to do the deal he'd already insured my guy would be with me again - with my guy everything gets done instantly and the whole process is through in a day.  I am not about to start with someone I don't know who will muck it all up and cause me weeks of distress, which is what used to happen before my guy came along eight books ago.  So, I called the main guy and left a message.

Good afternoon. I passed my cholesterol test. At least the excessive hiking caused my good cholesterol to improve. I had a whopping TWO POUND weight loss.

Broadchurch - Series 2 has just arrived in Tumwater!  I loved the first series (but not the Americanized version) and am looking forward to this continuation of the story.

After having a nice walk around the park we were sitting in the car waiting for the all clear from the realtor.  We are now home waiting for the window cleaner, and then for the professional realtor photographer.

For a home that is not officially on the market we are rather busy.  We were going to entertain Saturday night.  We have the food sitting in the frig to be cooked but no time to cook it.  Our plans will need to be changed.

DR TCB congratulations on beating the biting.

I am also a lifelong nail biter, although not quite as serious as your description....I am sure there are underlying psychological issues.....

The publisher thing is already taken care of - whoever called me this morning was not in the loop and that won't happen again.

And I guess we're finally allowed to say it - my song Simply is up for a 2015 Mac Award for Best Song.  Given my long history with awards, I'm thinking I don't need to book a trip to NY, but it's nice to be recognized for that particular song.

I am finally getting a bit of flexibility back in my right arm and shoulder.  Fortunately it has only been my upper arm that hurts and not the top of my shoulder, that is the part that is hard to deal with.
