THE MAC AND THE BLURB

Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Mac nomination and the book blurb, and now it is time for you to post until the blurbed cows come home.

For those crafty dear readers who regularly skip the notes, here is the blurb for the new Adriana Hofstetter mystery:

“This sixth and arguably most suspenseful entry in the Adriana Hofstetter series begins with the sweetly iconoclastic but dogged teenage sleuth drugged and shivering in a cold, dark basement, awaiting the arrival of a self-proclaimed psychopath who's 'committed two cold-blooded murders' and plans to make her victim number three.  If her perilous situation doesn't compel you to spend the next several hours finding out how she wound up in such a mess . . . and, more important, how she plans to get out of it, your affection for splendidly crafted, witty whodunits is considerably less than mine. Adding to the entertainment, the series' familiar supporting characters – Adriana's loving "mommy" Margaret, her best friend Billy and the irascible Detective Ramirez - are prominently featured, the streets, stories and restaurants of Los Angeles are highlighted and author Kimmel has even included a few imaginative recipes from Margaret's kitchen.”

Good morning, all.

Why I didn't sleep in some, considering I didn't head for the sack till after three in the morning, I couldn't begin to tell you.  Who can explain it?  Who can tell you why?

In case anyone was wondering, it's snowing.  Let's just cut to the chase on that one.

Good morning, all!  I am happy to see DR ChasSmith got home safely and that he enjoyed the show. I've been out this morning to market, and I'm wondering where the promised warmer temperatures are today.

I'm going to work here until 12:30 or so, then bus down to City Center, watch the show from backstage, then listen to the talkback and see the Bermans before I head home.

That's it for now!  I will once again wish our DR TCB a wonderful vacation and a good weekend to all!

I've been wondering where the promised no more snowing is.  And yes, we're supposed to get to 46 today, but I have no idea where they think it's coming from.

DR Chas, you have a nice neighbor to have cleared your driveway.

That's our regular deal, though.  He routinely does my driveway along with several others.

He won't see it for a while, but have a great vacation TCB! Taking a cruise is on my bucket list but it's not on Anthony's so I don't know if it will happen.

The snow is mostly gone in my neighborhood. I have to head out to the library to return a couple of books and pick up others held on reserve. I also picked up a digital copy of John Lahr's bio of his father, Notes on a Cowardly Lion. It's nice not to have to go to the library to get a book. I love Overdrive.

Is there a location on both of your bucket lists that would be easier to see by cruising?

I also love Overdrive vs going to the library.  My brother has a convenient library, no stairs and he walks past it almost every day.

Snow didn't happen for us.  A temp of 62 degrees is predicted for us.  Today is the day of my cousin Linda's memorial.....I am hoping that everything goes well.  There were two slide shows posted on Facebook....and I am hoping those are NOT the slideshows they are showing....half of the photos are not of Linda....there are none of her as a little girl.....only one blurry photo of her mother....

The photos are shown for less than 5 seconds each and there are no transitions, just one photo after another....and the music is strange.....

BUT.....I was not in charge.....I hope there are no incidents....at the memorial....and I hope some of the people there are nicer than they are on FACEBOOK.

DR Jrand, I thought you were doing the slideshow.  I am sorry about the family turmoil when you should all be comforting each other in your grief.
