Well, you've read the notes, you've read the notes inside out, and now it is time for you to post until the Inside Out cows come home.

Yesterday, I had a cue-to-cue rehearsal for "Laughing Stock" and it took a little over 4 1/2 hours.  We ran the entire Dracul: Prince of the Undead scene and the Hamlet scene.  After that, I got something to eat before I went to usher for "Laughter On the 23rd Floor," which was very funny and very good.

Today, we're going to have a quick "Laughing Stock" speed-through of just the lines to help us get used to them all without having to worry about blocking AND lines.

After that, I'm going to Theater Artists Olympia's rehearsal of their (our, actually, I'm on their Board of Directors) production of "In a Dark, Dark House" by Neil LaBute.  It's the total opposite of "Laughing Stock" in that it's a very intense play about child sexual abuse.  I haven't read it or seen it yet, so I'm really looking forward to that.

But the main reason that I'm going to the rehearsal is that for the Sunday rehearsal before opening night of every TAO show, the Board supplies dinner for the actors and crew as a thank you.  Even if I was in the show, I would still bring something because I'm on the board.

I say, Hoo and Ray!

DR Jane - what a surprise. It all has happened so quickly. I am sure that you feel quite mixed emotions about it all. Here's to an exciting next chapter in your lives.

I have church this morning and a performance this afternoon. We are supposed to be getting 3 to 6 inches of snow, so I'm sure that will affect attendance at said performance.

Very late...after ushering for "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" last night, my friend Margo and I went out to eat.  I didn't get back until a little after midnight and BK had switched the day.  I always stay up too late and tonight is no exception.

Hope you have a great performance this afternoon, as well as a larger than expected (and very attentive) audience!

Thanks, DR George. We are doing a tribute concert to composer Stephen Paulus, who died last year after suffering a stroke. He was local, but his 600 compositions have been performed around the world. He is especially known for his songs, chamber operas, and choral works.
