I just came across this on YouTube. Check about the 21:25 point and you might see (briefly) somebody you recognize.

I used my encounter with Eddie as the basis of my short story, "Bugsy's Boys," which is the final story in DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER & Other Revisionist Histories, which is available in paperback, Kindle and audio versions on Amazon.

Good morning, all.

I have no good explanation for this, but if you heard me croak out my "good morning", you would be asking me how long I've had this cold and how I'm feeling now.

And I don't have a cold!  But I'm getting so congested through the night that I wake up with almost no voice, just lots of nose blowing and harrumphing.

The harrumphing, of course, is the best part.

At least I'm able to sleep.  Allergies?  Who knows?  But I'm certainly experiencing a lot of sinus goings on like never before in my life.

It is indeed astounding that INSIDE OUT's run is about over.  That was six weeks??  Where does it all go these days?

I echo all those vibes to BK and singdaw, and add happy congratulations to Jeanne, Larry, Cilla, but sheepishly admit I haven't caught up on the past week - yet.

Very happy to have the tax work, though, even if we can't use or read HHW at the tax office.

Good morning, all! I am waiting on a phone call from a young conductor, Jackson Cooper.  I forget to call him yesterday, and i fear he may have forgotten me this morning.

Good news about BK's blurb for the new book, DR Jeanne's health, and all HHW events.

I am feeling too lazy to head down to Toyland.  I'll work around here.

DR vixmom, do you have any idea about your Manhattan time? Dinner with you would be a lovely way to spend some of my day.

DR MichaelShayne asked about the Paint Your Wagon songs.  Here are the answers:

Take The Wheels Off The Wagon was added to the tour was it used in the Encores show?
NO.

Was the cut song called "What Do The Other Folks Do" rewritten as "What Do The Simple Folks Do"? for Camelot or are they just similar in title?
SEE THIS: http://www.nypl.org/blog/2013/01/17/metamorphosis-song-what-do-simple-folk-do

What songs (if any) replaced the cut songs "Muchee Good World" and "Shh"
"Muchee Good World" was dropped in book revisions for "What's Goin' On Here?"
"Sh" was in the show throughout tryouts on Philadelphia and Boston; it was for the Mormon wife and the Crocker, the Englishman she elopes with late in Act Two; nothing replaced it.

There were quite a few book revisions: the character of Ben Rumson died in the tryouts; once the comic Chinese characters lost "Muchee Good World," they had little to do beyond "I'm On My Way." There was also a cut song, "They Never Go Home."

DR Ben, I believe you implied that a certain gentleman might be of help in the transferring of "Old Media" like cassette tapes to digital files.  I may, in fact, have just stumbled upon a good way, finally, to do it right here in the comfort of home.   Experimentation will commence this afternoon.  If successful, and even if not, I'll describe what I was attempting.  If no go, we'll move into the next phase.

Either way, I am pleased to announce that my Nov. 1979 off-the-air recording of Mahagonny plays as well as it ever did, and that DR Elmore will soon have a copy for his listening pleasure.

DR Jane - what a surprise. It all has happened so quickly. I am sure that you feel quite mixed emotions about it all. Here's to an exciting next chapter in your lives.

Thank you.  All that and I think I am also a bit nervous.  I am grateful the last few days we had beautiful sunny weather.  I woke up to the sound of rain.
