It is a Wright State University project, so I am sure there is a sleazy side to it.

Well if you also turn it down, Jrand, it will eventually get to me.

Tuesday morning greetings!  I was up and out early for my annual cardiac stress test.  Unlike a couple of people I know, I was not yanked off the treadmill and rushed into the cath lab, so I guess it went OK.  I've been home less than an hour, making up for the coffee I couldn't have earlier.

Oh, and I'm radioactive...

Oh, does it require you to be on location in Dayton?

Today is cool and overcast, thus far.  Had a warm, wonderful night's sleep.

DWTS:  There is Derek Hough, and then there is everyone else.  Val is close to being in Derek's league.  Very close.

DWTS:  It doesn't hurt either Derek or Val that they have the best partners this season.

We have the first episodes of HOUSE OF CARDS arriving from Netflix.  It is the American version.  Keith forgot he was going to switch it to the BBC version on the recommendation of friends.

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

I'm up, I'm up - I do think I got a bit over nine hours of sleep overall, so that was good - another few days of that and I should be back to normal.

I couldn't get with the BBC House of Cards.  The American I've enjoyed and not enjoyed - season one is great and the first episode of season two is one of the best episodes of a series I've ever seen.  From there they begin to struggle and go off in directions that aren't great, which happens with all series at some point.  So, there are occasional episodes that are good, but it's erratic.  Season three proved to be the same.

I love the British "House of Cards" with Francis Urquhart as the lead character.  Extremely dry, witty and evil.

Following up on yesterday's posting:

Yesterday, I had a "dispute" with the Texas DMV.

So, how did I get my "revenge"?

I went to the press.

It was fun putting on my publicist's hat again.

Here is the news story about the Texas DMV, as it appeared on KXAN (NBC) last night.

Good for you.

Thanks.  I copied this to show Keith.  I expect we will watch the one we ordered.

Hmmm, now I'm fluctuating again-lol  Did you attempt to watch the American version?

I think Kevin Spacey is a talented actor, however, I don't necessarily enjoy watching him.  That could work here since I'm not supposed to like him in this-right.

The handyman has been here all morning.  I already am suffering from eye strain and his recent banging has given me a headache.  He is leaving so I shall get off the computer and put the last of the laundry away.  Wait, I need to wash the sheet we used to cover an area rug.  I was productive this morning so that was good.

I am home from Chelsea Music.  i have no idea when the finale or the smaller transitions will call me back, but i am getting tired of waiting for my first payment from these Vegas producers.  Supposedly, the checks were mailed from Vegas on Thursday, so what the fat hell is taking so long with the US post?

Good afternoon, all.

Spent a nice day catching up on some BK-produced soundtracks including "Susie Wong," "Pleasure of His Company" and "Won-Ton-Ton." Highly enjoyable to work to.

TOD:

Too many options.

The meal would likely start off with some selected sashimi with daikon shreds. Served with an aperitif on the side.

A relish area would have 30 or so pickled items, cheeses and charcuterie, crudites, etc. (I put these together most holidays and just love grazing.)

There would be a seafood course, maybe a lobster salad or scallops.

Main course would be roast chicken with butter and truffles under the skin. On the side, asparagus, a roasted red pepper stuffed with a lively mix of ground pork and vegetables, and a rustic sourdough bread with anchovy butter or an herb butter.

A garden salad with the freshest vegetables and a light extra-virgin olive oil dressing would follow.

The first dessert would be panna cotta.

The second dessert would be the freshest, ripest raspberries in a bowl of heavy cream.

The maybe cheese and port or a digestif.

No, I don't get Showtime.  I know it's on DVD and BD, but I have the BBC on BD and it's more than enough for me.
