It is much warmer than it should be here. It was was 84 yesterday and 81 today, but the forecast called for 89. That would be July or August weather. I have the AC on.

Glad to hear that Larry's check arrived. Very irritating, but nice to have a fatter bank account.

Friday evening greetings!  I have had a busy, busy day.  Left here before 8am to meet my friend Becky for a long breakfast visit at Panera, followed by some shopping at Target and Half-Price Books.  Then I met Richard for lunch and we left my car in Barnes & Noble's parking lot and went to the Cincinnati airport to pick up Rob and Mary Linda.  Friday rush hour traffic back through Cincinnati was horrendous, but we retrieved my car and I stopped at Kroger and was home by 6:30.  Rob went to pick up pizza for dinner (their treat to thank us for cat-sitting and airport transport) and I'm just now logging on to check in here and write my articles for the AAUW newsletter.

Re: the beeps.
So much technology today depends on beeps to communicate! I am just not conversant in beepology. A few years ago I purchased a thermometer. One beep for this, two beeps for something else. OY! I hope that technology soon leaves the beep phase! (I suspect it will as smartphone apps take over life as we know it.)

Thanks.   I don't have any gel.  If it is easy to do I will try and get some tomorrow.

The toe looks straight so if it is broken it doesn't appear to need setting.  It just hurts when I walk or have it in the wrong position.  I fear it will be a good number of weeks (research says 6-8) before it heals and I need to do physical work right now.  I don't do well when I can't go for walks, especially in this weather.  It will be cold again by next week.

It is strange how the bruising is on the bottom of my toe and red on top.  Keith asked where I hit my foot and I really don't know.

You can do a lot of damage to a foot without a break. I've had sprains--even bad ones--heal in less than 6-8 weeks. It's torn ligaments that take forever.

Is there a chiropractor near you who does K-laser treatments? They really helped my right shoulder. I also had one treatment on my left foot, which I hurt almost two years ago. That helped quite a bit, too.

Well, you would have thought FJL or former dear reader Julie might have called me last night - but Julie just posted to my Facebook page that Simply WON best song of the year at the Mac Awards.  So, the idea is if I don't show up I win :)  So happy.

Well, it's time for me to go to the theater and the opening of "Laughing Stock"!  I think something is planned for after the show, so I probably won't get home until much later.

But I'll be back!

I have no idea about the k-laser.  Not much I can do now until Monday, and thenI might call for an x-ray.  I need it to be better so I can clean the house for the Tuesday inspection.
