Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not eleven hours long, and now it is time for you to post until the eleventh-hour cows come home.

Good morning, all.

Damn, that last dream was interesting, and it was cut short a little bit.  Well, you won't think it was so interesting.  But I did.  It was about me just having finally discovered the secret for keeping my desk (and all its drawers) clean.  Isn't that pathetic?  I was especially sad to wake up and see that there was my desk, piled high.

Coffee!

Chas I have often had dreams wherein I suddenly notice a door in my house I never noticed before. When I open it I find , to my great joy, empty rooms perfect to for putting all the extra stuff which doesn't fit anywhere

Along the lines of the TOD, I definitely could have used more sleep.

This is one of those mornings that I feel like whatever I utter -- whether it be "good morning" or something more complicated -- is going to come out totally garbled and, put to paper, look like a vixmom post.

Oh!  Hi, vixmom!!    :D

Oh my, aren't those the SADDEST dreams to wake up from?

Believe me, I've had more than my share of them.  They're incredible.

TOD. There have been multiple times over the years when I was up 24  to 36 hours straight , unfortunately towards the end of that time period you rather start to feel drunk or drugged

I have always, since I was a small child, resented the need to sleep.  Think of all I could get done if it was not necessary

Most of my long sleeps have been the result of being put under for an operation...I am apparently particularly susceptible to whatever they use to put one to sleep.  When I had my thyroid removed it took them 12 hours to wake me up again when they told Vixdad i'd be awake in one

Those and the ones where I find an envelope full of money I forgot about about.  Usually the dream is I had left this envelope full of 100's in one of my dresser drawers under some clothes and suddenly discover it

Yes!  Or you're just poking around someplace and you begin coming across more and more loose change (quarters, then half dollars, silver dollars...) lying about the place, and there are more and more piles of it -- it's like a slot machine spilling its guts to you -- and just as you decide to get something to put it in so you can carry it out of there...

Oh, the heartbreak!    :)

Good morning, all! My computer lamp just noisily died.  I was afraid for a moment that a fuse might have blown.

Thus morning, at 10, I meet my new primary healthcare giver - I really detest that nomenclature.  I'll have a report on Dr Teng later.  i g directly frm there to City Center to help Joshie prepare for tomorrow's orchestra reading.

I have nothing more to report at this moment.

TOD:

Since I nap almost daily, I don't know the shortest I ever slept.

However, I think the longest I've ever gone without sleep was when I came back from Ireland after shooting THE DOORWAY.  I got up before 6 am, so we (me and the cast) could do the 2 hour drive to the airport in Shannon.  The cast was on an earlier flight, but my flight didn't leave until 1 pm.  I didn't sleep on the flight to NY, not during the 2 hour layover before the flight back to Los Angeles. Didn't sleep on that one either.  I walked into my home in Calabasas 24 hours after I first woke up in Ireland.  It was another 2-3 hours before I went to bed.

Don't say "extension" around tax people.  They'll get the idea that you'd rather go on extension than get your return out by the 15th.

Monday morning greetings!  I have a cardiologist appointment soon to get the results of the stress test I had almost a month ago.  Then, this evening, I'll conduct my second-to-last AAUW meeting as president - tonight's agenda includes electing new officers!
