ANTIGONE was good last night.  We had a small, quiet audience.  The opening night reception in the Great Hall!

It's always nice that the kids - er young people - in the cast want to introduce me to their fiances and parents and friends that attend.  They always have nice comments to make, and they are usually dressed up for the theatre which is also very nice.

This afternoon I'm going to visit Mom and then help Mary Linda get dinner together.  She and I are taking dinner when we go to visit our friend Laura and her new baby Iris.  I met Laura's family when she was not much older than Iris is now and she and Rob grew up together.

I have to sit down at the plastics today and program the keyboard for ANNIE.  We're back at it Monday for tech week, and I want to walk in with this completely done.  Thankfully, this is a VERY easy task compared to the last few shows in which I've played an actual synth book.  My main challenge is finding a few good vintage sounding "R.M.I." patches.

(I am SO glad I asked DR Elmore about the R.M.I. business last week!  I hadn't had much contact with any of those particular show scores in the past few years that I've been involved with keyboard work, so had never questioned what the actual electronic instruments had been.  It was GREATLY inspiring to observe the work done with the keyboard book in ZORBA the other day.  Since I don't have a Mac (which will be remedied...someday...), I can't use the applications that would lead me to all of those great sounds, but I will do my best with what my keyboard provides.)

It just dawned on me that today I'm visiting the oldest person I know (Mom, 96) and the youngest (Iris, almost 4 weeks).

And then, suddenly Fed Ex showed up and carted off the eight cartons! I am pretty much out of Toyland, and rather happy about it.

Elmore, an article on the opening of the Duck Dynasty musical:

http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/entertainment/television/article/Duck-Dynasty-family-debuts-musical-in-Las-Vegas-6204904.php

I knew that it opened on Wednesday night. My friend Mimi is in it.  I want them to record it so I can make some more money on it.

And i have to go to a place with a photocopier since ours gives pathetic copies.  While we were working on ROBERTA, I asked the copyist supervisor to have a service man tune it up and put the bill on the ROBERTA work.  Since he didn't bother, which still irritates me to no end, I need to go to Staples and make some photocopies, which I will hasve to pay for, bring them here tomorrow, scan them on the same screwed up copier-scanner and then print out pathetic copies. One more irritation.

Thank you to everyone who has sent, is sending and will send good health vibes. For my part, I will try to use them for good results. I want to eliminate lymphoma from any future descriptions of my state of being. That's my statement of fact, even though it's not easy to put into practice without worry.

This most certainly not an irritation, Elmore: Several songs from Dearest Enemy showed up on a shuffle of songs on my iTunes this morning. Most refreshing way to begin the day.

That makes sense then, and you can clean up after dinner too while she is busy with the baby-lol
