TOD:

I'm a bit prejudiced on this one, as all of these guys were publicity clients at one time.

"The Shadow of Your Smile" by Paul Francis Webster and Johnny Mandel
"Somewhere My Love" by Webster and Maurice Jarre.
"A World That Never Was" by Webster and Sammy Fain

Or as I fondly like to call "A World That Never Was" that 1-800 Academy Award Nominated song. :-)

Thank you for remembering.

There are a lot of idiots on the No 7 bus today, including my driver.  I think several drivers loke the power of closing doors on people who run up to the bus, intentionally missing a stop, or refusing to hear a person in the back of the bus to unlock the back door so they miss their stop.  this was my driver today.  A total pig

Then we had the people who insist on blocking the aisles with their roll-on luggage, or the pushy young ones who don't wait, once the doors open, to see if an old coot like me is creaking toward the door to get off the bus so you have to fight your way off while their uncontrollable brats run around and make it difficult to maneuver.  I hate them all.

Today is my wife's day to volunteer at the temple for a group that helps Alzheimer's patients.  She's been doing it for about 5 years.

She was working in the kitchen when she tripped on the carpet, fell and hit her face on a metal table.  Two chipped teeth, a cut/swollen lip and a bruised arm and shoulder.

While they rushed her to the dentist, my neighbor drove me up to the temple, so that I could pick up her car, then I picked her up at the dentist.

She's okay; fingers crossed.

Great list and an understanding of the topic - singer/songwriters meaning people who wrote the songs they sang or some of them.  Classical Gas isn't Jimmy Webb it's Mason Williams.

Back from a quick lunch with Anne, who's on her way to her overnight stop in Tennessee.  She will arrive tomorrow at her beach condo in Orange Beach, Alabama, on the west side of Pensacola, Florida.  I told her someday when she passes through here I'd have a bag packed and go along with her.

And I am home from the doctor.  I am going to begin with a TB test on May 6 and a sonogram of my neck, which I will try to accomplish on May 4 or 5.  I am doing nothing until the Encores! ZORBA closes.

Just waking up from the after-effects of the anesthesia and oxycodone. Have been home for almost 2 hours but went straight to bed. Was at hospital very early but still had to wait in pre-op for my surgeon whose first patient was a wee lad of maybe 3 or 4. I didn't see him but could hear him crying. It's so confusing for little ones who are in pain and go to see someone who makes more pain for them. Dr. Gernon, my surgeon, apologized, but after having my hospital experiences I understood. I was not upset. He's a very kind surgeon and I have the utmost confidence in his abilities. He was the first one to see me when I started on my lymphoma odyssey, so he's better able to see what's happening to me.

I was brought into surgery late. I was supposed to begin at 8:30 a.m. but don't think anything started until almost 11 a.m. Like casinos, there are no clocks in the surgery suite.

They had to intubate me because the surgery involved my tongue and larynx. I still have them because they are giving me pain.

Since I don't drink or take any pills, the anesthesia wiped me out. I was told I was in recovery for almost 2 hours. As I was regaining consciousness, I still had the breathing apparatus on.

I'm still somewhat loopy and my sense of time is distorted. But I wanted to let you all know that I'm back. The results should be available sometime early tomorrow.

To everyone who has sent good vibes, love and caring and in other ways has helped me: it's not easy to put my feelings to words as the words don't express what I would like to say. Especially since I wind up sounding too corny.

Why would they make you wait over ten days for this?
