I know that both Larry and Fred really enjoyed Honeymoon in Vegas and I appreciate and respect their opinions but I found the show tired, unfunny and TOO LONG!!!

Except for Rob McClure's performance and one of the best opening numbers I've seen in years (I Love Betsy) the show didn't work at all for me. I thought after that opening the show would be great but it rapidly declined and I left the theatre disappointed. I didn't like the book (I never saw the movie and now have no plans to see it), Tony Danza was mediocre (his character was creepy) and the music (except for Betsy) was unmemorable. I'm not surprised it didn't get any nominations.

Except for Lisa Howard's snub, again I'm not suprised that It Shoulda Been You didn't get any nominations. I saw the show and would have been surprised if it got anything for book or music/lyrics.

I think even though Finding Neverland is doing well at the box office one of the producers is not a well-liked person in the Broadway community and his arrogance and bullying behavior has come back to bite him in the behind.

I haven't seen Skylight (a London import) and probably won't see it.

I've heard mixed things about Hand to God (nomination for best New Play - won't win). Some people think it's, coarse, vulgar, mean and very one-note with nothing to recommend it while others consider it to be a vital new play and an exciting new voice in the theatre. 2 people I respect did not like the show so I doubt I will bother spending money on it.

Perhaps the uptick in purchases of THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL is related to the upcoming release of Ms Cindy Williams' autobiography.

I just read that Suzanne Crough from the Partridge Family died suddenly today at the age of 52.

I thought the Tony Nominations had 5 nominees in each category, but it seems the most categories only had four and Musical Revival had only three missing was Side Show that had good reviews but no audience. I guess they didn't want to fill up the category with a show that's not even running.

Jane, you will have a lovely view from your new condo. I'm not surprised that it has a woodsy sort of feel.

I'm not planning a trip to NY anytime soon, but I enjoyed DR Ben's reviews.

Today is  City Center with Joshie day. It should be fun.  I have to work on "Happy Birthday," which is being being transposed for Zoe Wannamaker.

I've been enjoying Zoe Wannamaker in MR SELFRIDGE.

Why don't the manufacturers of contour sheets and mattress pads tell the buyer which side of these items is the long side and the short side? By the time I've figured it out, I'm exhausted.

Speaking of DR Ben, perhaps he could have a word with Bill and Melinda Gates about this. I would think that a micro grant could drum up some much-needed innovation.

I saw a new cardiologist today. I wasn't happy with the one I saw last fall, who I felt brushed me off. Heart health is sufficiently important that patient concerns should not be dismissed. IMHO.

The one I saw today was a young(er) Asian female. I found her a bit abrupt, but she was better than the last one. She explained some things that neither of the other cardiologists had mentioned and that have a lot to do with patient comfort and confidence. On the other hand, she make a remark that indicated that she has little knowledge of nutrition or biochemistry. I give her a C+. I'd really hoped to find someone whose attitudes and values are closer to mine. I returned home feeling quite frustrated. On the positive side, I like my primary care physician, who is an osteopath, and whose views are much closer to my own.

I have a hunch that DR John G's next interview will result in an offer.

(Where do hunches come from? I have no idea why this comes to me, but it did. FWIW.)

I'm considering a nap. I'd been told "no naps!" in order to sleep better at night, but DR FJL's comment yesterday made me reconsider this. The length of the nap may make the difference. (I woke up at 5:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep.)

I'm not sure it is woodsy until our walk takes us through the park.  Yes, we like views.  To prove this we lived in a strange house in Michigan, first time, just to look at the beautiful ravine behind it.

DR Ben Keith's cousin appreciated the information you provided.  She had seen Curious Night in London and liked it.  She purchased tickets for her parent's since they are traveling together.

The last time I was in NY they were there and I spent a lovely day with them.

Back from a nice lunch with Kay Cole - I had a taco salad with no sugar.  Then I went to see my editor, Marshall Harvey and we shot our little video thing and he's now preparing it.  You'll know what all this is about come Friday morning.

Jeanne, I've been trying to find the video of that very recent Dr. Sanjay Gupta CNN health report on cnn.com, but so far it may not be up yet.

The most startling thing he said (if I'm recalling right) was something about if you only have one free hour during the day to either exercise or to power nap, you're better off with the power nap.

I would go with exercise, not a power nap.

Downsizing is not easy.  It means getting rid of cherished keepsakes and books, along with a ton of other stuff.

What I didn't expect was for Keith to find my missing post card collection that has been in the back of the closest in the garage all these years.
