Well, it's time for me to head home and eat food and do laundry and watch TV.

Be back later.

Didn't get the job. And I'm largely relieved. I'm just too tired right now to think of doing anything else right now.

Great news, Dan M.

Thanks, even though it still needs confirmation from the lab.

In remembrance of Suzanne Crough, ANTENNA TV is having an all-day tribute to her this Saturday. Even though she did act in some other projects, I'm sure it will be a marathon of Partridge Family episodes.

In Tucson, ANTENNA TV is the secondary channel to our local ABC affiliate KGUN. Since I can't afford cable TV, I have a digital antenna that was really cheap. I bought it at Radio Shack before it closed.

Still a bit queasy - probably shouldn't have eaten the pasta jambalaya at CPK - I'd ordered a roasted garlic chicken breast but it was horrible so I had them bring the jambalaya, which was great but not the smartest thing to do with my turmoiled tummy.

Since I have a delicate digestion due to the celiac sprue, I always keep a bottle of Aqua Hydrate because it has a high PH. There are other similar products. I'm no chemist, but it always seems to bring my stomach back to normal.

Thanks for the striped sheet idea! Still doesn't solve the damned mattress pad concerns.

My mattress pad has a label (Do Not Remove By Penalty of Law) that is on the short end of the pad.  So, I can use it at the bottom of the bed, and next time reverse it for the head of the bed.  Just don't remove the label.  I WILL REPORT YOU!

DR Elmore warned me that the movie is sad, but I watched ZORBA THE GREEK last night and of course he is totally right.

I don't suppose I'd seen it except maybe once in the intervening years since its release.  I saw it in the theater as a teen who most certainly didn't pick up on the real grit of the story then.

What a beautiful film.  They don't make 'em like that.  And it's on a fine Blu-ray.  I'll spin it again soon to listen to the director's commentary.

Told you!  That film is bleak!

I don't remove the tags but sometime they fall off.

Where do you put the slide?

It may be better to begin with a kazoo. Plus it rhymes with wazoo. (I hope that's still no worse than a PG rating, for "pretty good".)

Finished with my viewing - still a little queasy - may have to get another 7-UP.  Watched a particularly pretentious and bad documentary called Actress.

Turns out Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the Annies when he was conducting.  I wonder if there's any film/video of her doing it.

She was wonderful!

I am waiting for the Roto-Rooter man. Never a good thing. Yesterday I found dirt all over the bathroom sink several times during the day. I always leave it clean. Apparently, when my neighbors use their bathroom sink the water is backing up into mine. Sigh. At least it isn't the Neanderthal Plumber who is coming.

So much for my plans for the day. Hopefully, he'll be done by noon and I can take care of an errand I wanted to get out of the way.

I hope the plumber fixed your problem.  I do have concerns about living below people.
LOL< I was reading about the stool softeners and then saw this post, I must say I guffawed.....I hope the plumber fixes our problem

DR Jane.  Thanks.  Now I just need to figure out how to use the trimmers that are in my garage.  They came with the house.   I could pretty much trim with my old mower, but not with this one, so I'm going to have to learn,.

I have confidence in your skills.  If I'm wrong, guess you will need to purchase new trimmers ;)

I can't find a charge for the trimmer and it's actually quite heavy.  So, I'm going to check out the new ones and if I don't like them I'll see if I can find a charger that fits the one I have.  The new ones didn't look very expensive, so I'll likely go that route.   It's so much cheaper for me to do it than to pay someone.  By mid summer my mower and trimmer will have paid for them selves and I'll get a workout every time I mow

NIce, Jane, does the area near the water ever flood?

Not really.  I think about 5 years ago there was some flooding near the shore but no where near our condo.

That's good.  I didn't think that it probably did, but we worry about that sort of thing here.  Our last major flood was 100 percent caused by the Army Corps of Engineers.  Don't even get me started on them

Very nice photo from DR JANE!  I can just imagine it in the evening with the moon and stars, too.

Thank you.  As for moon and stars, we are pretty spoiled here.  I can't imagine the sky there with the lights coming anywhere near what we experience here.  I won't complain if I'm wrong.

Now that's the one thing I really miss from living in the country and near the lake.  I used to walk outside and see SOOO many stars.  Not so much here in town.   I grew up on the edge of town and we were always out looking at the moon or stars or planets through the telescope.  My neighbor was a physics teacher and would occasionally bring the telescope from the junior college out to the field by our house.  We saw amazing things through that telescope.  I miss that
