FJL is sharing his birthday with the newest member if the British royal family.  There's a new princess

There's also a new prince - our great-nephew James William Goforth IV arrived early this afternoon.

Congratulations!!!

DR Dan I'm sorry about the package.  I can understand your disappointment when you were looking forward to watching the show.

I spoke to my aunt and she is doing very well.  In fact, she was looking forward to dinner out with the family for a belated birthday celebration for her grandson.

After 2 years of not getting out much due to my uncle's Alzheimer's, she was great.  The stress was difficult and I'm glad she is embracing the changes.  I doubt she will return to the social life they had but she can go when she wants to which is good.

Thank you.  Truly I am just relieved it over.  My poor aunt.  Alzheimer's is such a horrid disease.

DR Ginny I had your San Diego dates on my calendar in case we took a trip to L.A.  I just removed it as we obviously will not be planning any trips next month :)

I just removed my monthly book group from my calendar beginning in June.  That was sad.  I will miss the group and the women in it very much, especially the two who have been in it as long as I have.

One of the woman is a newish friend who also joined my hiking group.  I'm in this group because of one of the book women, the one who recently lost her husband.  They both say they will visit us in Vancouver.

What is the special-request cake?

Orange cake with an orange frosting.  It looks delicious.  Looking forward to it!

Yum! That sounds really good

Happiest of Birthdays to FJL!   Hope you're going to do something fun today

Thank you, Cilla!   We had a Virgil's lunch, which was really the size of a dinner and was  loads of tasty fun (we don't have Virgil's often enough).  Skip's making a special-request cake for me.

That's plenty of excitement, as I've been hooked on the goings-on in Baltimore today after missing so much of it during the work days this past week.

What kind of cake is your special request?   I love cake.   I was hooked on watching Baltimore for awhile, but kind of got tired of it

I know what you mean about some stories.  Because of tax work this week, I'm now needing to catch up on some of the earlier details to really understand what's going on.

I was thinking that I should have added that I got tired of the coverage repeating and repeating.  I haven't watched all day so I will probably watch tonight for a while to see what happened today.

Well, the treasurer training is over and I'm at my sister's house.  We're watching "The Love Boat."

Can't figure out how to post the cake photos.

George, could I forward the photos to you and maybe you'll know how to post them?

My sister was watching "The Love Boat" when I got here and there was another episode right after it.  Well, Bert Convey is one of the guest stars and I told my sister that our very own BK was in a movie with Bert Convey ("Racquet").

I looked up the movie and I had forgotten that both Lynda Day George and Tanya Roberts were in "Racquet," also.  What's the real coinkydink is that both Lynda and Tanya are in this episode.  The movie was released in 1979 and this episode was from 1982.  It was a mini "Racquet" reunion.

Bert always played such unctuous characters. Wonder if he was actually not acting. Didn't like him when he was a game show host. For me anyway, he gave off a vibe of sneakiness and slyness, maybe not the right word. But that's just me and I could be totally off base.

Another actor like that for me was Edward Andrews. Always played shifty or bad characters. Probably opposite of how he actually was. But I think that some actors don't really stray too far from who they actually are.

That is ok, I'm still ready to say goodbye.  Of course I may miss it after a few weeks.
