In addition to trying not to worry about my upcoming lab work, pre-surgical screening and cardiology visit on 5/20, I now have the worry of how to get to Parker. The most logical solution would be to rent a car but I don't think I can drive that far.

The idea of travelling on a Greyhound bus is freaking me out. Maybe a good night's sleep will help sort things out. I hope so anyway.

I also really enjoyed the book, the film, and the TV series of THE DEAD ZONE.

Walken is always enjoyable. You've got to love an actor who ignores punctuation.

I had my first HHW dream last night.  I was in the lobby of a hotel in New York City.  I was kind of sprawled out on a sofa, and I saw Ginny and Richard coming out of the hotel elevator.  As they walked past me I said, "Hi Ginny, we meet at last."

Ginny got this quizzical look on her face, so I said, "It's me Ginny, it's TCB!"  She looked back at Richard, and he just shook his head.  Then she looked back at me like I was one of the poor mentally challenged, she grabbed Richard's hand and the two of them hurried away out of the hotel thru the revolving doors.

And then I woke up!

T.O.D.

THE STAND - The book is my favorite and I love the mini-series.  I am not sure I will enjoy the four stand alone films that they are going to make of the book.

I read both the original book and the "updated" edition.  I read and really liked a lot of Stephen King's earlier stuff, but sometime in the early 1990s, I stopped reading his stuff for some reason.  I don't know why.  :-\

Listening to the new On the 20th Century recording. The music still sounds great -- thrilling, in fact -- and some of Kristin Chenoweth works, as well as Andy Karl, but the chorus lacks the delicious crispness of the original. But it's nice to get the whole score, all of the stuff that couldn't fit onto one disc before.

Peter Gallagher sounds as if he's channeling Tim Curry.

I ordered the CD from Amazon, so I haven't received it yet...but I knew that that was going to happen.
