DR Ginny I hope you have some fun today.

First, I had lunch and a nap.  Now I'm in my Momcave to finish up a papercrafting project to give Mom for Mother's Day and to do some prep for Monday's end-of-year AAUW meeting.

In the Canvas MOOC class I'm taking, this week's assignment was to (for the beginner) write a pantoum. I wrote one and the students who left comments seemed to like it. I think it still needs work, but I am my own worst critic:

Changeable weather, clouds and rain,
Cold and snow, ice and slush,
Longing for days to soothe my pain
Swathed by plants, green and lush

Cold and snow, ice and slush
Were familiar friends when I was young
Swathed by plants, green and lush
I would hear the tunes the birds had sung

Where, familiar friends when I was young
No longer near but moved away
I would hear the tunes the birds had sung
Memories held close yet kept tears at bay

No longer near but moved away
As years go by, I can’t complain
Memories held close, yet keep fear at bay
Changeable weather, clouds and rain

DR TCB, I'm sorry that DR Ginny and Richard were so awful to you in your dream.  I would have been much worse.

And that's why we love you. :-*

Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez discuss what it was like presenting and getting their starts at the BMI Workshop (where they first met) and talk about their teachers there, including Maury Yeston in the advanced workshop (starting at 0:15) and Skip Kennon in the first-year workshop (starting at 0:55)

That's so cool, Fred!

Since I consider myself to be primarily a storyteller, this posting on Amazon, is perhaps the best review I've ever had.

"If I want the truth I would have had to be there - If I want the facts I'd do research - but if I want a good story I'll read Michael Druxman. He loves a good story and the reader can't help but love it too. MURDER IN BABYLON. You won't be able to put it down." -- Marian Hailey

That's great, Druxy!

I am just having continued toe issues, plus my eye hurts.  It is likely due to lack of sleep.  I almost called the eye doctor yesterday to get it checked and decided not to.  It then, of course, was worse by last night.

Thanks.  The eye problem began in Vancouver when I wasn't sleeping.  I probably need about 20 hours of sleep to clear it up.

Of course all the cleaning out has triggered my allergies, but that is to be expected.  They could be worse so I'm not complaining.

Bryan sent flowers, yesterday, smart of him to send them early or I would have had to trash fresh flowers when we moved.

Very nice, Dan M. Who is offering the MOOC?

Thank you DR Jane and DR John G. I didn't think it was any good. I write and write, and throw away and rewrite. Then I hate what I wrote. Then I walk away. Then I tear apart what I thought was good and there's nothing left. Then when the deadline is upon me, there's the assignment all finished, but I still didn't think much of it. Your kind words mean a lot.

Back from a chicken salad sandwich and the disturbing and upsetting news that the helper is going away for three months to be with her new boyfriend in England.  He's been here for the past two.  She'll be back in October and assures me she'll find a replacement and train them before she leaves.  I hate change, as most know, and I never really have to worry about anything with the helper, so as long as she finds me someone who's trustworthy and not a flake and who will just continue like the helper so that I don't have to worry about anything, it will be fine.

I am nervously awaiting for swimming results.  They posted the times the racers have going into the swim meet.  And wow some of the swimmers from Toronto are crazy good.  i think it will be very hard to win a medal.  Although at least they separated 9 year olds and 10 year olds. When she swims here they are grouped together.
