Thunder and lightning we've got - but no rain - just droplets.  Seems almost willful.

Well I'll be darned.

All these years, I had thought that the word chimera was pronounced SHIH-mur-ah.

But it's not.

It's ky-MEER-uh.

What's up with that?, as DR Cillaliz would say.      :)

Well, finally it's actually raining rather than little droplets.  Thunder and lightning - and the minute that happened you suddenly hear sirens everywhere.

We've had rain off and on today, heavy at times, such as each time I needed to go to or from my car. No thunder or lightning, although it was called for in the forecast.

That is really great that this service is available to you, DR Dan M.

Yes, I am relieved. I now have the same volunteer driver for my pre-surgery evaluation next Wednesday. He will also drive me the morning of my surgery in June, and has agreed to be on call when I am about to be sent home. I may be in the hospital for a day or so.

I never liked it, either, but I never saw a whole episode. Some neighbors used to love the show and I saw a few bits there.

Today was a nice day in Tacoma.  It was sunny and in the high sixties, so all the young people were out walking and hanging out together.  It was because of this day, that I decided to change my name to Will Rogers, because I never met a man I didn't like!

During the 70s, NY independent TV station WPIX would play "The Honeymooners" late on weeknights and on weekends. It would act as a short subject before I turned the channel to WABC's late movie on Saturday, which would usually be a cultish B movie (the former 4:30 Movie type movie):

I am very tired this evening. I had my hair cut today, then stopped for lunch, eating far more than usual, then came home and took a nap.
