OMFG!  Former Fox News Contributor Sandy Rios Claims Amtrak Engineer's Sexuality ''a Factor'' in Deadly Crash.  WTF??

And she claimed that the train was "clocked at 160 miles per hour on that curve..."  No, it was 106 mph.  She also kept saying his last name as "Bosnian," when it's Bostian.  But she's not the only one making mistakes.  The writer of the article actually spelled his name as "Bostonian." ::)

Today, the mail actually arrived by 4:30, but the check that was mailed on Monday has not yet arrived.  I also worry about postal theft.

She is only one more idiot reporting on Faux News.  Since she worries about the engineer's sexuality, I will wonder about hers:  i wonder how many people someone as stupid as she had to have sex with to land that Fox News job?

Well, new info on that train wreck: an earlier train reported being fired at or having rocks thrown at it, and they now believe that something struck the windshield of the train that derailed.

  • Have a REALLY nice day!

I just walked around the house.  They have a lot more left than I realized, maybe a couple of more hours worth of work.

Off for some Skyline Chili in a few.

I am just back from wolfing down a Gold Star 5-way.

I haven't had these nearly often enough to have developed a strong preference, so I go back and forth on each visit.

This time, however, I'll be taking a few cans of each one's chili back with me, and will do some leisurely taste comparisons in the comfort of home.  (I just need the actual chili.  I'll make the spaghetti and grate the cheese, etc.)

Those will, of course, be washed down with Vernors.  Several more 12-packs, to be precise.

Yes, we Midwestern HHWers are "this close" to an actual get-together.  If each of us drove an hour or so we could all collide in the middle somewhere, but time is not our friend this week.

Speaking of Verner's.  Keith can buy it here but we didn't see any at in Vancouver.  I went online and found we can order it through Wallmart and have it shipped to the store.

Ah, Vernors . . .

We have a new Chinese restaurant in the area.  A little pricey, but very deelish.  The packaging of the delivery was art.  i've never received a Chinese delivery so beautifully assembled!

For a bad morning out, the remainder of the day indoors was quite rewarding and I'm very happy with my accomplishments.

In other news, Krispy Kreme -- which some of you will recall had opened a number of stores north of the Mason-Dixon line back in the 1990s, only to retreat a couple of years later because they overdid it -- is once again constructing a standalone store right here on Beechmont Avenue.

I am looking forward to tonight's TAR finale.

I was super disappointed in this week's DWTS results.

Good evening. It is raining in Phoenix. In May.

  • Fish? Or, Abe Vigoda?

The critically acknowledged worst episode of the original Star Trek is just ending now on MeTV. Bones McCoy nearly totally has a conniption fit trying to reconnect Spock's brain (the title of the episode).

Time is a four-letter word, my friend.

I've been binge-watching GRACE & FRANKIE on NetFlix.

And drinking wine.

And eating chocolate.

Is GRACE & FRANKIE any good?  I was thinking about checking this out.

And now, I must be going home.  It's time to leave work, and since I have my car back, I can drive to do some shopping before I go home.

Until later!

Well, DR George, you can't knock the cast.  And I've laughed out loud several times.
