Back from an evening with the national tour of Camelot, which I had never seen on the stage.

The staging was - interesting. Some of the acting was quite good. Most of the singing was mediocre.

It didn't help that the orchestra was reduced to 5 pieces - conductor/keyboards, percussion, guitar/lute, cello, and "reed." Oy!

Sounds almost like they did a Cabaret staging of Camelot. They should set up tables and chairs in the great hall and have ladies of the night serve cocktails with an emcee who has a painted kabuki face.
