If a magician is skilled at legerdemain, does that mean that they have an affinity for legerity?

Ah, never mind.  I see that they have slightly different meanings, but share the same french root word.

Good morning, all!  I slept quite late, much later than intended, but this is a day in which I plan to do very little.  I need to make a trip to market this morning and that's about it.

I had the most curious dream about travel, a map, flight - and I'm not sure if I were in a plane or levitating on my own - and some sort of hostel appearances by friends I have not seen in years, including Arthur Seelen who hired me at the Drama Book Shop in 1979 and who died in 2000.

I had a horrid little dream where I was supposed to take care of someone's cats while they were away, and I forgot. It had been a few weeks, and I was going to the house to see if they were still alive, and then I woke up.  Yuck.

They were probably starving and would have devoured you.

We did not sleep all that well in this bed.  The bedding on the hard lumpy mattress isn't very comfortable and keeping the room and a steady temp was difficult.

DR TCB - the top picture was actor Tim McIntire who was in several movies in the 1970's including the roommate in The Sterile Cuckoo, A Boy and His Dog, and as Alan Freed in American Hot Wax.  He also did a LOT of television.

His mother is Jeannette Nolan who did a lot of films and television and worked with Orson Welles on the radio in Hollywood.  Tim was born in 1944, and there have always been rumors that he is the son of Orson Welles - his nominal father is actor John McIntire who was the original wagonmaster on the Tv show Wagon Train and who was in many movies and tv shows.

James Woods said was having a conversation with Tim was like listening to Welles speak.

The same rumors surrounded the English guy who was pictured Michael Lindsay-Hogg.

Tim with Liza in The Sterile Cuckoo.
