Note that Neil Diamond slips and seems to say that "Gonna Fly Now" from "Rocky" was co-written by Ayn Rand.

Good morning, all.

Nice to be saying that at home again.

(Be even nicer if I had a Graeter's cheese crown to get up for!  The one near where I stay wasn't open early enough yesterday morning.)

I had a good turnout yesterday for BAD SEED auditions, and I am hoping for a few more choices tonight.  I could really possible conceivably use everyone from yesterday....if I had to.

Good morning, all!  I will shortly head down to Tams-Witmark and begin work n the full orchestra score for The Golden Apple.  This full score, which is the conductor's 1954 Broadway score, needs to be reassembled with the 1970 revisions that Jerome Moross made to the score.  These revisions are in the published vocal score that I edited, but I had no idea that Tams-Witmark had sent the full score to Texas.  This explains some of the discrepancies between the vocal score and the forthcoming recording, and should have been nipped in the bud.  It only increases my dislike for the conductor of that production.

Beyond that, since I have no idea how long I will be there today or how much time this project will take, I'll come home, wrk n a few projects here, and wait for whatever fresh hell rolls down the pike.  tomorrow is another toyland day.

I realized that I didn't know any Paul Williams songs beyond "Rainbow Connection," so I'm happy to learn here what other songs he's written.  I've never liked "You and Me Against the World."  Maudlin nonsense.

I do like "Evergreen."

We have a lot to try and accomplish today, beginning with checking out the granite.  We hope the slab with our name on it is the one we want.

Yesterday I found the key to the mailbox way in the back of a drawer.  I don't know if it had been there all along or recently put tufts.  There was a form in the mailbox to sign to begin delivery.   The post office sent an email there will be a welcome to the new address delivered today which should let the new pist office know we have arrived.
