Well, I'm off to my sister's place for a bit.  Tonight, I am going to see a local production of "A Life in the Theater."

Have a good rest of the day, all!

Back from poached eggs, white toast and some white rice - it kind of feels like my tummy might reject it all, but I'm hoping not.

So sorry to hear about Jane & Keith's accident. Not a nice welcome to a new state! I'm glad there were no injuries, but I think you're wise, Jane, to soak in a hot bath.

Bumper vibes.

Thanks.  I will do the soak tonight.

The bumper damage idn't bad, however, to fix it will likely require a new bumper.  We will go sometime next week for the insurace quote.

Just returned from a visit with Mom.  She now knows that I'm going to be in California for 2 weeks next month.

No comment on her reaction.  I'm guessing she wasn't happy.

BK, Congratulations!

In some circles a BK MAC would be confusing. ;)

I'm so nauseous right now.  Blechhh.  At some point I assume this will get better, but maybe I just won't bother with food again until it does.

Did you try the pressure relief for nausea.....

Rub your thumb in circular motions on a spot three fingers width below your wrist....rub for about a minute on each hand....

No comment on her reaction.  I'm guessing she wasn't happy.

She seemed OK and wanted me to write it on her calendar.  She also wants a detailed itinerary so she can keep track of where I am when.  The hardest part for me was when I asked her about her visits to San Diego, Monterrey, and San Francisco, she remembered very little.  I hope the next time I see her, she will have had time to conjure up some recollections.

The first part is good, the second part hard.

The Schoenberg is early Schoenberg - Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) - before he went completely 12-tone. Thankfully.     :)

I love this piece.

Agree on Titanic. (I agree about Ragtime, too, but I did include it in my earlier list.)

watching "Nightcrawler." Jake Gyllenhall reminds me too much of Joseph Gordon Levitt. But I like the idea.

DR VIXMOM the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream of school and history indicates that you are attempting to resolve some childhood issues by dwelling in the past.....it is better to look toward the future....it may also indicate a longing for past joys and victories that led you to where you are today.

My interpretation of my dream was that I am sick to the back teeth of my current employment and I should quit and pursue a field where I can once again be excited by my work.  I still have a sense of fulfillment from putting together that curriculum
