Well, I'm going o go now. Intermission is going to happen soon, and then I'll leave and go home. The good thing about volunteering in concessions is that you get to leave right after the intermission and clean up (unless you want to stay and see the rest of whatever show is playing).

Went out to the ruins of an old spa that will be the site of a dinner next week. Gorgeous grounds and all of the food will include stuff grown in gardens all around the place.

To cap off the evening, I'm trying hard to enjoy a TV musical called "The Great Waltz" with Patrice Munsel, Bert Lahr and the music of Johann Strauss Jr. The music is not bad (of course), but the story is atrocious. So is the production. It's as lousy as the recent Peter Pan.

I did that once. When I moved to Virginia the movers INSISTED repeatedly that the truck would arrive on a given date. I had actually started to believe them. My temporary lodgings at the hotel were about up, but the apartment was ready--just vacant. I bought some pillows, a comforter, and towels and moved in. I was actually quite comfortable. My belongings arrived in a few days. It worked out fine.

We have slept on more than floor waiting for belongings. The longest was 2 1/2 week during our nightmare move when the driver left the truck on the side of a road.

Watched one episode of The Honeymooners and promptly dozed off for almost all of it, so I'll have to rewatch. Then I watched the first thirty minutes of a new Netflix documentary

I'm so full but really didn't eat the amount I normally eat at Smoke House. Had a cup of soup, a couple of pieces of bread, a wedge and a baked potato of which I only ate half. And some strawberries.

She had the melting chocolate cake, and I had the chicken quesadillas appetizer (half price after 9:00 pm!) and their salted caramel pretzel bites. All of it was very good.
