Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of our one-performance workshop, and now it is time for you to post until the one-performance cows come home.

George, is Audra McDonald coming to Oly in July?  I ask because she is coming to Tacoma on July 14.

I have heard NOTHING about Audra McDonald coming to Olympia.  If she were, I think I would've heard about it...but then I had no idea that she was coming to Tacoma, so there's that. ::)

Glad to read that the show went mostly very well. It has been interesting reading about its progress.

About the no-shows, that seems so rude on their part.   But pleased the crowd still was a good one.

Good morning, all! Today we finish up the recording of PAINT YOUR WAGON, so I will be E&T all day.  Tomorrow I will go to Toyland and make backup discs of the contents of my computer desktop. Pn wednesday, I sign off from the computer there as it leaves the building.

This week, I hope to see some folk about taking things from the office. I posted a notice on Facebook yesterday that I was giving away filing cabinets, folding tables, shelving. etc, and I've had two inquiries.  I have a week to remove all that I can before I am out of there.

Good morning, all.

Went for a late one last night, watching a little of this and a little of that, so I am behind in the sleep department.  A nap later will be a fine thing.

Coffee!

DR Elmore, I need one of those floor mats for a rolling desk chair, but I guess it would be easier to buy one when I go to Staples to make copies for tonight's meeting...

Congrats to BK and company on a successful and productive workshop.  The upcoming three weeks of rehearsal will be so rewarding.

What I can't believe is 30 out of 80 no-shows.  What a ridiculous percentage of people who have no idea how to plan and commit to doing something, and/or don't even have the courtesy to notify anyone that they must change their plans.  That's something I'll never understand.

People don't understand the art of RSVP-ing any more, either.  (Weddings might be the one remaining exception to that, but I'm just guessing.)  They don't stop to think that there's A REASON someone wants to know whether you will attend something, and that not doing so is completely inconsiderate to their would-be hosts.  The thinking seems to be "I won't commit to this or that thing until I see what other possibilities might come along, and then I'll make up my mind."  It's time to implement a punishment that fits the crime.

Feels like just last Tuesday, it was Monday.

At one point yesterday afternoon I suddenly realized that it felt to me like another holiday Monday, and that today would be another Tuesday that feels like a Monday.  With all the crazy times when one day feels like another, I don't believe I've ever experienced that one before.  But the sensation was so strong that, even now, I still have the vague feeling that it's not really a Monday.

Probably. I agree that maybe I was a bit rude. But I can't stand when people are so clueless about those around them. I had just had enough. I didn't yell or raise my voice.  And she was being extremely rude herself.  But I don't think that she thought that she did anything wrong. She didn't think having her kid sit on my sister's program was wrong. Or standing in front of us so we couldn't watch the meet was wrong. She didn't think that blocking my niece from sitting down was wrong.  I am usually pretty nice to strangers.  But if someone does something super annoying to me for more than a couple of minutes then I can't help but say something. I know most people let it go.

DR Elmore, what about the rest of McGlinn's scores?  Have you found a taker?

Such an overwhelming collection.
