What great news -- for me, at least -- about finding a stash of those CDs!  (I'd asked BK about each of them, and of course they had long been thought gone.)

I shall be ordering both forthwith.

Hmm.  It's almost forthwith right now, so I'll wait for them to appear on the site.  Unless it's to be midnight on the left coast.  Well, we shall see, won't we.  Yes indeed.

I couldn't find this the other day. Something to do with Orson Welles:

Our realtor offered to pick me up tomorrow and take me to the newcomer's monthly meeting.  I am going with her.  Keith said "that will solve one problem". When I asked what problem he said my boredom.  Poor guy, I am not as bored as he is but I admit I am looking forward to this.

So, the notes I got from Doug Haverty were interesting.  First of all, it's amusing that he really doesn't like to get notes on his stuff - he only likes to hear nice things, and he rarely, if ever, makes changes to his work.  I'm the opposite - I nitpick all the time.  I also don't mind someone sending me notes.  But his are mostly not things I would ever do.  His big thing is that he doesn't feel there are stakes or even a real story, so it doesn't feel like a real play.  Well, that's not what I wanted to write.  The original title for the show was The Molly Monologues and that's exactly what the show is - monologues and songs, all of which tell you the thoughts of this particular fourteen-year-old girl.  All his suggestions, for me, would take this into cliche land.  He had a couple of thoughts that I will at least think about - one of which involves the Grandpa set-up - only a line or two but I may try it - I'm fighting a battle there by trying not to get maudlin - I think that's why people are ultimately moved by the song because the set-up is NOT maudlin.  Sami and I share in common losing a favorite grandpa at an early age - the story she tells is actually my story.  My fear in embellishing the set-up is that it will get gooey.  Don't want that.  He does have a point that there are a couple of numbers that feel like the show might be concluding.  He feels the song Let Me Sing should be the final song and it originally was until I wrote another number that I felt summed up the evening better.  So, I moved Let Me Sing three slots earlier - I happen to think it works there.  But we'll see - I'm bringing the notes and any others I have by tomorrow night to our post mortem dinner.

I don't know what happened.  On Saturday, when I went to Costco to look for some blank DVDs and they didn't have any, I saw that they had one of those HD antennas to receive over-the-air HD TV broadcasts.

I bought one because I always wanted to know if there were channels that I wasn't getting through cable.  Last night, I hooked it up and put the antenna on my window and ran the channel scanner.  No channels were found...none.

I figured that it could just be the placement of the antenna, so I left it there for the time being, and decided to reposition it tonight.  I got home and turned on my TV, but I thought that it made the noise of when I turned OFF my TV.  Nothing came up on the screen!

I waited a moment and hit the power button on the remote again and it made the sound again, but still nothing came up on the screen!  It's totally blank!

I tried the power button, but that didn't seem to do anything, so I unplugged it for a few minutes and tried it again and still NOTHING.

The TV itself weighs about 83 pounds, so I can't just take it off the stand and put it in my car.  I don't want to have to buy another TV.

I'll have to find out if it's actually worth getting fixed...if it even can be.  It's a plasma TV.

I know that there are some situations where they can't be fixed at all and this might be one of them.
