Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the proverbial notes, and now it is time for you to post until the proverbial cows come home.

Good morning, all!  I am on hold with Fed Ex because, once again, their putting customer service reps who speak English as a second or third language on the phones has jeopardized today's pickup.  I'm getting sick of this crap.

On my first call, I was disconnected and now I've been waiting forever to someone to pick up the phone while I am assaulted by too loud and too aggressive muzak.

Still on hold; nearly 15 minutes now.  Clearly Fed Ex is screwed up today.  Goddammit.

I finally got a customer service rep and I believe all is okay.  I'm feeling a bit pressured because it's a crazy day at Toyland: Chelsea Music is coming for their equipment, I have t finish my desktop backups, and I've got to finish these two Fed Ex cartons.  I hope to be on a bus hme by 2:00, so that I can return tonight with Peter and remove the computer, binder, paper cutter and receiver.

And that will be the end of Toyland.

Thank you all for the kind comments about the end of Toyland.  I will be in and out the next couple of days to accommodate people with removing things, but this is my last official day there.

I can tell you all that I've said yes to an employment inquiry, although nothing's happened since I accepted early last week, and there are other things afoot.  So, I guess one door closes and another . . .

Got a pretty decent sleep, and I'm trying to bring back the details of the last dream I was having.

DR Elmore, I'm so glad that, as Toyland comes to an end, there are some other prospects out there for you.  Looking forward to hearing the details when you can share them!

Charging for the meal in advance seems crazy.  i think that people should definitely cancel if they can't go. But i'm not sure that taking their credit card info makes sense. I would not want to do it. But then again i would cancel if i couldn't go.

Some places call to confirm the reservation the day before.
