Oh, my!! :D

That looks like Chocolate Lush, but with the mini chocolate chips on the top and a chocolate crust.

When I first saw this, I thought it said 'chocolate rust'. Sunday will probably be a fine day to make it. I'll pm you a bite.  ;D

I didn't know State Farm offered supplement medicare insurance.  We have our car and house with them but not our medical.

It's all confusing, but I think they have supplemental A, B, C and F.

DR George, maybe you could use some of your 50 grand to buy a new TV. Or tires. Or...

Do you have a good rebate credit card?

Sadly, no.  Just a regular credit card.  I should transfer my balance to one with points or some other perk.

You should shop around for a good rebate card. I've found site to be useful:

http://www.myfico.com/SavingsCenter/Credit-Cards.aspx?qsid=Cards_All_SC-AutoInsurance

There are lots of choices and you need to find the one that best suits your needs.

Not a problem. I will use my marketplace plan for the surgery as I am very near the copay limit for the year. It's still more money than I can really afford, but it's less than what I would pay out of pocket if I use the Medicare coverage. I didn't decline the Medicare A & B, but maybe I should. No one has given me an answer yet.

Prior to signing up for Medicare I found an insurance agent who only handles Medicare. I didn't have to pay him anything for his services; he is paid a commission by the plan chosen. He was quite knowledgable and saved me a lot of time. He only handles my area, so you'd need to find someone for your area. There's a LOT to learn; it's a very complicated business. But a good agent would be a great asset.

Delta Dental is the network that is offered on the Minnesota state health exchange. The premiums range from $14 to $48.50 per person per month. In my opinion, however, the offerings are pretty meager in terms of benefits. At least, the plans that are offered for adults on the state exchange. You may be able to get better plans by going to the network directly.

When I worked in the corporate world I had dental insurance as part of my benefits package. The premiums were high and when I needed a crown they'd always reject it. I never felt it was worth the cost. But I didn't need much dental work then. I do now. I do know that I'd only want a PPO plan, so I can go to my dentist, even though he's out-of-network.

The binder and paper cutter are sitting here asking me where they should live.  I have no answer at the moment.

It was great to see Peter and we had a nice visit on the car rides to and from the rubble.

And now, a Father Brown mystery and bed.

Can you and I get them into my car?  They can rest at my place till one of us finds them their new home.

It's your call.  I just know I'd be sickened to think they were headed for a dumpster.

I had no idea that Mr. Andre Previn had written another opera after Streetcar Named Desire.  I liked that one okay, but I REALLY like this new one from a few years ago - based on Brief Encounter, with a libretto by John Caird.  It's like hearing a wonderful old Previn film score - the performances are very good, save for some VERY bad tries at singing in English accents by some of the supporting players.

Shelly Markham sent me his thoughts on our new show.  Mostly positive.  He had some confusions and some suggestions how to make the flow work better.  The flow was terrible - not enough time to work on getting from one thing to the next and because Sami was forgetting things it made it even more awkward, so I knew that was one of the major things we'd have to address.  Just talking to Shelly made me realize we could use music to help effect the better flow, along with strong lighting choices.  And he also recommended starting the music to a few more songs towards the end of the monologues, so it's smoother getting into the songs and so Sami doesn't have to wait until the usual four-bar opening vamps are done - we only do that twice in the show and it works really well, so I'll be looking for three or four more places to do that, which will help the flow for sure.  He was also confused about whether we're watching Sami herself or a character - that's probably my fault, too, because the only time you hear the character's name is in the lyric to the first song - he missed it there.  So, I'm going to make that adjustment in the first monologue so we're really clear Sami is playing Molly.  And I'm going to strengthen the opening monologue with two or three more lines, just establishing the kind of evening we're in store for, that our girl Molly will be telling us about her being fourteen and telling us her feelings on a lot of topics.  That will help the audience not to expect a plot or anything really linear.

In "The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!", the show that Theater Artists Olympia did last year (and will do again in October), there were a few spots that could've had the music start a line or even a few words before they ended.

I'll make a note for myself to pay attention once we get into rehearsals and watch for things like that, again.

I wonder how many of DR George's 50,000 posts contain the text "since we're so close..."          ;)

A lot!

 :D

Well, at least one more:  And since we're so close...
