There was some discussion of needing passports for Canada.   I know a little bit about this...  For the last several years a passport book or passport card is needed.  Alternatively, there are a few states, including New York, that issue "enhanced driver's licenses," which are acceptable.  I know that DR Kate has one.  When you live in the Buffalo area, it's not unusual to go to Canada for the afternoon or evening.   The passport card and enhanced license are only good when traveling by land or sea.  You need a passport book when flying.

I'm sure you're right about this, DR Kevin, but I saw no mention of it on Canada's website. It said that California residents don't need a visa, but said nothing about a passport or special driver's license. Harrumpphh. I'll look again. I used to vacation in Canada rather often.

Glad that you seem to have found alternate accommodations, DR Jane.

Ditto. It may feel like a vacation once you have a good bed.

I am on Season Two of the Father Brown mysteries.  is anyone else watching them?  They remind me a bit of "Midsomer Murders" with at times more humor.  The one i'm watching now has a bit of Rear Window meets Mapp and Lucia, a killing at a summer fete with fighting over the best cakes and pies.

I watched a bit some time back, but was a bit disappointed. I had read the stories and enjoyed them. Maybe that was the problem. I was planning to try them again. Same thing happened with Mapp and Lucia; I LOVED the books, but didn't like the adaptations.

I haven't gotten one yet, but Washington state has the enhanced drivers license.

Don't know if it's been posted here, but the Something Rotten cast recording is for sale on amazon today for $3.49. For the download, not physical album.

I think one of the servers must be hanging up, but just for a couple seconds at a time.

I saw that and ordered it.  I will still order the physical CD, though.  It was just too cheap to pass it up.

Is Hal related to Amy Bodnar of The Brain from Planet X at NYMF?

Different spelling, so I guess not.  Was he involved with the Robby Awards in a previous incarnation?  It sounded like that's what he'd said.

I didn't realize this, but you can buy the 2012-2014 Tony Awards broadcasts on iTunes.  If I didn't already have them on my own DVDs, I probably might, but I do, so I won't.

Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Hour and the Tonys, and now it is time for you to post until the Tony Award-winning cows come home.

How can the cows win a Tony; and Jack can't even get a nomination?

And here are the Tonys.

I'm on the iPad, unfortunately, so can't post very prolifically, but I'M STILL HERE.
