Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Tony Awards, and now it is time for you to post until the bashing cows come home.

Well, the heat today has tired me out...and struggling with my tablet and wi-fi during the Tony broadcast didn't help.  I'm off to bed now.

Good night, BK and guests.

Good morning, all!  It was a horrible night of dreams and I blame the Tony Awards for them.

On Saturday, while pulling things from the storage area at Toyland, I came across a large number of papers from over five years ago.  They were notes and drafts made during my editorial work on Babes in Toyland, and I've decided to keep them.  So, this morning I will run down to the office to pick them up along with a few power cables and get myself home before the rains (yes - again!) arrive.  Once back here, I may do laundry.

I'm still sulking that ON THE TOWN lost to THE KING & I.  Josh Bergasse's choreography for it was so wonderful, and I blame his not-so-good choreography for GIGI on the jerk director.

Good morning, all.

Crazy dreams, man.  Just crazy.  I created a whole "remembered" thing from my past.  It took me many minutes of thinking about it upon finally awakening to convince myself that it indeed never existed.  And good riddance to it.

The Tonys:  awful.  They were awful last night and they're awful this morning upon reflection.  So much is wrong.

Well, following two days of brush-clearing type work, we have what's supposed to be a rainy day here and I am treating myself to an indoors day.  At some point I'll do some grocery shopping, and I should be able to get some decent stuff done around the house.

I enjoyed the Tonys and the hosts (I happen to love Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming).

Re: the In Memoriam.  I like Josh Groban I didn't mind that they had him sing. But I found the rest ridiculous. The names were too far back and they were going at such a fast speed. I will never understand why they don't put the photos and names as the only thing on the screen.  That made it pretty disastrous to me.

I loved Kelli O'Hara's speech. I think that she is very talented and seems quite lovely. But I've seen numbers from this King & I a few times and it doesn't do much for me.  I saw Donna Murphy play Anna and she was brilliant.

TOD:

I'm wondering if BK and I saw the same show.

Indeed, about the only two thing we agree about is the terrible way the "In Memoriam" section was handled and Larry David's hilarious bit.

Sandy and I both thought that the Tony show was extremely entertaining and that the two hosts were terrific.

Once again: different strokes for different folks.
