The door is shut. Toyland is dead.

Hopefully, there will be photos.

I don't leave until Thursday morning. Physically, that is. I think I'm gone already.

Back from a sandwich and no fries or onion rings.  I'm so tired I can't even see straight.  I may just go back to bed right now.

I don't leave for California until a week from tomorrow and I'm already gone myself...

Have a wonderful time, DR John G!

We just had one of the most intense passing thunderstorms ever.  It surely ranks within my top dozen or so.  I was out driving across town on a couple of errands, and streets and sidewalks were instantly flooding.  (Fortunately, it didn't come in the windows I left open at the house.)  Really an amazing display from Ma Nature.

Did anyone besides me watch MAJOR CRIMES last night?

I am so sleepy.  Tomorrow I can sleep in. Sounds good.

DR JohnG, did I miss it? Where are you traveling now?

Just finished watching Lincoln on our old VCR, after lunch we went to go see an autoshow in Bancroft. For dinner, we're going out to our daughters wedding. It's the third time we saw her since her wedding because she went away for a while.

I didn't know that the all-male Twelfth Night with Mark Rylance and Stephen Fry (among others) had been filmed and is available for purchase!  I just ordered it! :D

I am not even going to pretend I'm sorry that GIGI is closing.  I'm sorry for my friend Greg, who's conducting, but it was a travesty of Alan Jay Lerner's screenplay.

Well, I'm off to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts' Volunteer Appreciation Dinner!  They're also announcing their next season...and they've already announced that Patti LuPone is coming!  I can't wait!!** :D

Be back later!

**Although, I know that if presented with the option, some of you could. ;)

Guess what's happening here?

IT'S RAINING!! Granted, it's a light rain, off and on all day, but when you're in a severe drought every bit helps. The plants will appreciate it.

Soon to depart for a long drive. I have to be at a hospital far, far away from here for a 7:00 am presentation. I'm the presenter.

Will you be singing?   ;)

Ditto to that, too. I feel rather saddened by it, but know that you'll have lots of stories from your next adventure.

I had a blood draw this morning, then came home and worked on some tax stuff. How's that for fun? Actually, it's just nice to not have any appointments and take my sweet time with things.

TOD:

WEST SIDE STORY, the film. BK would not stop singing GEE, OFFICER KRUPKE, so I had to see the movie. And I loved the song--then and now.
