That looks like a very interesting book, DR Jrand64!

Also very pricey.      :P

I like the television promo for the new Seth McFarlane movie LEGALIZING TED:

Girl:  Who wrote The Great Gatsby.

Ted:  Uh...I don't know.

Girl: F. Scott Fitzgerald

Ted: Oh hey, wait a minute.  What did Scott Fitzgerald ever do to you?

Last night about 4 a.m. we had to take my father to the emergency room because his nose would not stop bleeding.

We finally got back home about 8:30 a.m.  There are follow up visits and other things to take care of.

AND Mercury retrograde has ended!  Whew!

Exactly!

Sorry about your dad, DR JRand64.  Did they know what caused it?

I'm up, I'm up - woke up at nine-thirty after about seven hours of sleep, and have been doing some research ever since - and have ordered the menu book.  I really wish this guy had contacted me, as I have stuff no one else probably has, and I would like to have gotten my father's restaurant in there, which I'm sure it isn't.

I hate temporary crowns.  Never had good luck with them.

Apparently I'm the only one here whose dentist has moved into the world of same day crowns.  And it was four years ago I got mine.  I'm telling you, there's no other way to live.

Some co-workers of mine (about 20 years ago) talked about going to someone locally who did crowns in one day.  I remember them going on about how it was quite the revelation.  I, fortunately (so far), haven't needed any crowns.

Several years ago, my mom needed eight crowns (at the same time! :o) and went to Mexico to have them done.  A friend of hers lives down in New Mexico near the Mexican border and has been going to the same Mexican dentist for years (I guess she did a lot of research before deciding on which dentist to go to), so my mom felt pretty confident in the dentist's abilities.

Anyway, she stayed with her friend and got them all done and when she got back, her dentist up here looked at them.  He said that they guy did very good work...and it was about a 10th of the cost!  So if you know anyone who lives near Mexico and gets dental work done, it can be worth the cost of the trip down there.

More vibes for DR Jrand's father. I went through a period of several months in which my nose would bleed for no apparent reason. I thought the doctors or nurses ruptured some membrane, but I later learned that my platelet count was extremely low, so there was no coagulation to stop the bleeding. Kind of a temporary hemophilia. Once I received an infusion of platelets, it stopped. This went on until my bone marrow kicked back in and did what it's supposed to do, but even though some time has passed, my white blood cells are still not yet to normal. They're getting there. My platelets got there first.

It wouldn't hurt to reach out to him; perhaps you can have input on a second or revised edition in the future.

Back from a chili, cheese and onion omelet.  It's funny to me how variable the quality of this omelet can be.  It's occasionally amazing, occasionally bad, and occasionally somewhere in the middle, as today's was.

Got home from errands to find two lovely CDs in the mailbox.

Two CDs that I thought I'd never see.  They are, of course, ANYA and ILLYA DARLING.  Thank you, BK!
