Thanks all....it has been a recurring problem since he started taking blood thinners for blood clot in his leg a few years.

He has an appt. Tuesday for a cauterization.....we shall see.  It had really been about three years since this has happened.

I haven't looked at many of these pages, but this seems to be part of the book or the collection the book is based upon.

It's too warm to be making chili, but I did and I think it came out quite well.  In the 1970s when I was doing community theatre with DR Ginny, our friend Andrea had fantastic taco parties during rehearsals.  They were fantastic, and I try to channel her when i'm making my faux-Tes-Mex chili.

So, now I'm debating: chili for dinner or something else,  I plan on freezing most of it.

I am watching youtube clips of the Tony Awards. Seemed like a good idea on a 106 degree day.

Between yesterday afternoon and last night I slept over 11 hours.  Haven't done that in a long time.  I'm still tired. I feel like I lost a week. It's been something every day this week. Today I did go to a board meeting but then just gave up and came home.  I only have one client who seems really displeased at the moment.  I did go in and return my messages this morning. that was something

DR JohnG, have fun in Maui.  When do you return?

I get in a week. I lose a day on the way back.

And, yes, it is paradise here .

DR George, I don't know exactly how much it's going to cost the insurance company. I've heard just the one shot costs anywhere from $2000.00-10,000.00. I haven't seen the bill.  I did call my insurance company and I have a $350 emergency room copay so I'll have to pay $350 each trip to the ER which I believe will be 4 times since that's the only place you can get rabies shots. Luckily the copay includes everything I get in the ER so it should cost me $1400 out of pocket.  But I'm just guessing.

The thing is, you either spend the money or risk getting a disease that kills you.  It's only money

It's cool and overcast here, 68 degrees, but I'm going to go to the baseball game.  I think it will do me good to sit out with friends and get some fresh air.  Besides there are lots of freebies tonight, so I'll see what I can get

I do need to work some this weekend. I accomplished a fair amount on Monday and Tuesday, but it went downhill from there.

Oh! My! Goodness! :o I had no idea that it would cost THAT much!

So, one dentist (not the one I usually see, but his associate) and 2 technicians worked for an hour trying to replace the temporary crown that broke yesterday and I was finally advised just to go without until my permanent crown goes in Tuesday (or Monday if I get lucky).  I'm having to eat very carefully and avoid very cold things because of the sensitivity.  In a dental history that includes a lot of crowns, including my 4 front teeth, this is a first.

Topic of the Day:

I'm just finishing listening to Judy Kuhn's brand new CD, Rodgers, Rodgers & Guettel.

Love her!

I just realized that they didn't use the Oxford comma...otherwise it would be "Rodgers, Rodgers, & Guettel."

Can you use a comma before an ampersand?

I got to the garage sale in time for my 2-hour shift and had a great time working with Lynne, Anne, and Rose.  Came home just before a huge storm hit and we were without power for about an hour.  Richard and I went out to do some errands and have Skyline chili for dinner.  And I'm ready to crash.
