Back from a peek in at the garage sale.  There's still a LOT of stuff, but a lot of that will disappear when the half-price sale starts at 1pm.

I will be E&T today.  It's off to the big city and meeting up with a few cinema friends for some 3-D hi-jinx at MoMA.  Should be great fun, but it will be a long day.

Have fun, DR ChasSmith, and give my regards to Broadway MoMA!

Learned this morning of the death of Clem Burton, who was our wedding organist.  He also put up with having me in the choir for several years, which was the price he had to pay to have Richard's voice.  I learned more from him in 3 or 4 years than I had in my entire K-12 music education experience and I will always treasure that experience.  Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

Clem Burton was a good man.  RIP.

I am off to meet Rob.

I listened this morning to the new GOLDEN APPLE recording.  It's much better than the first performance bootleg I had heard and a lot of performance glitches in lyrics are repaired.  The cast shows more personality on the recording, but I think everyone - even the ones I'd liked on the bootleg - aren't quite good enough, Some are close, but . . .

My biggest problems are choices and changes the conductor made.  Why should he care what the composer wished?

And I am off -- on my way into the city for some shenanigans.  Back very late tonight.

I know DR Elmore will have a wonderful afternoon at lunch and the ballet.  Everyone else, too, have a wonderful Saturday!

KUDOS to our HHW BATWOMAN, DR Cillaliz!

That must have been terrifying! A bat got into my bedroom when I was living in San Diego
County. I tried to get it to leave, but it wasn't feeling very cooperative. I called a friend to help. It was a very stressful experience. You were very brave and resourceful to use a butterfly net.

Vibes for stress reduction and also for the bills! Sheesh!

Does any DR know anything about Apple's new proposed music streaming service? Does it really offer access to every single iTunes track for $9.99 per month?

I know nothing.
