DR VIXMOM.....I nominate these two movies as DUMB......

THE CAR - we saw this preview in a theatre, and by the end of it, the entire audience was laughing so hard, you couldn't hear the voiceover......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoAD3kUmN9s

And TURBULENCE - wherein the leading actress ends up piloting a jumbo jet while wearing a bra and half slip...

Finally!!  Comcast had an outage yesterday, starting sometime after about 4:30 pm until about an hour ago.  I had no interwebs AND no TV (I've been up in my bedroom watching a DVD and burning DVDs of shows that I had recorded).  It all seems to be up and runnung, now...and it's way past my bedtime.  I'll have to ketchup on all of yesterday's posts later today.

I hope that doesn't happen too often.  We will be connecting to Comcast soon.

This is the first time in a very long time (at least, that I can remember) where we had a major outage that wasn't related to a wintertime or snow incident.  It all seems to be okay now.

I have not been sitting here like so much fish, but holding sweet baby J and visiting with his Mom.

Today is the birthday of one of the greatest musical arrangers and orchestrators, Robert Russell Bennett.

My introduction to Mr. Bennett was in 5th grade, my teacher fancied himself a singer and he would play Broadway cast records during study time. His favorite was the soundtrack to VICTORY AT SEA. No one ever dared challenge him. He was a WWII vet, a SeaBee, but he was really a softee inside. Outside though he was like the old Robert Conrad commercials, tough fireplugs.

I'm up, I'm up - didn't fall asleep until about three-thirty, up at nine-thirty, and fell right back asleep until now.  Still not eight hours, but close.

Fred's not the only one who read it and wrote a review.

I am trying to stay as calm as possible, but I guess I have anticipatory anxiety about surgery tomorrow. If I were a Buddhist master, maybe I could eliminate all anxiety, which is a type of fear, but I'm far from that.

Believe me, I know what that kind of anxiety is all about, even for minor surgeries or "procedures".

Stay calm vibes for DR Dan M.  Just remember it's all worth it in the end.

Dan, have you ever tried Rescue Remedy? It's for stress and shock. Some people really swear by it. When I'm in shock I don't think to use it.  >:(

I just got a nice check from the Loewe Foundation for my PAINT YOUR WAGON work, and it was greatly appreciated.

I am in my needanap slump at the moment.

I agree, a full slip would have been a much better choice.

I didn't fall asleep until 1 am. And it was quiet! I'm definitely dragging today.
