I'm debating tonight's DVD. Perhaps Tony Richardson's The Charge of the Light Brigade, which I saw in college and now remember nothing about it.

There is something on tonight called Celebrity Family Feud.....with Steve Harvey....I am assuming it's the game show, but I barely recognize the "celebrities" that are listed as guests.

DR John G. - haven't finished the book; got sidetracked with other books. I thought the initial chapter or so was a bit slow, but loved it when she dug into the bits about her years at the New Yorker.

The guy who runs our local Farmers Market has been emailing me because I've been expressing my distaste with his decision to ban religious music from the market.  It's all over a specific musician, but he didn't just ban the musician, he stopped everyone else from singing anything religious....we're talking Amazing Grace here.   Anyway he's being a bit dramatic in his messages and emails.  I told him this was about him and the article in the paper about it and not about me.   He didn't seem to like that

I'm just stirring things up.  I didn't start it and I'm sure it will blow over, but seriously, I think it's ridiculous.  So a folk singer can't do Amazing Grace, an instrumentalist can't do some classical religious song, what on earth difference does that make.  I guess it was his comparison of religious music to profanity that really made me mad

Nita and I had a lovely lunch on the hotel patio and I saw her off to the airport.  I called Richard to synchronize our watches for tomorrow, then I slept for about an hour.  Took a walk along the water's edge and sat down by the marina for a while.  Now I'm beginning to pack and contemplating dinner.

Thanks Ginny.  He wants me to go to his office tomorrow to talk about it.  No. There's nothing to talk about.  I'm not leading a cause, just expressing my opinion

Glad you're having a good time Ginny

Thanks.  I had all kinds of intentions for this afternoon - Balboa Park, Coronado, a bay cruise - but decided I needed some down time.  There's still a week and a half to go for this trip and it's too soon to wear myself out.

Besides, I'd rather do all of those things with Richard, so we'll have to come back to San Diego together sometime.
